“I think so too,” Kai agreed. “I’ll check it out when I have time.”

He then folded the map and put it away.

“How dare you!” Luo Ta bellowed, his face red with rage. “I only said that offhandedly! Don’t twist my words. Now stop arguing and follow me to the Ten Palaces!”

Reluctantly, Zuo Tianzheng was dragged along to the Ten Palaces by Luo Ta.

When they arrived, the Palace Master of the Ten Palaces was already waiting for them.

“Luo Ta, your soul disappeared and then reappeared. What happened?” the Palace Master demanded. “I thought you were dead!”

As a member of the temple, Luo Ta’s soul lamp had extinguished when he perished—a clear sign of death.

When the Ten Palace Master saw the soul lamp go out, he was stunned. But its sudden re-ignition left him baffled, wondering if there had been a malfunction.

“Palace Master, I was killed, but that person resurrected me,” Luo Ta admitted without hesitation.

“Killed you, then resurrected you?” The Palace Master’s eyes widened in shock. “What happened? Are there truly such powerful beings in the Tianren Realm?”
