“If you want to get out of here, then keep quiet,” Kai said, his tone resigned, as he addressed the younger brother.

Hearing this, the younger brother immediately clammed up, not daring to utter another word. He was genuinely afraid Kai might decide not to help him.

The rest of the prisoners, though numerous, were disorganized and unfamiliar with one another, making it easy for Bai Cheng to maintain control.

Seeing Bai Cheng’s men blocking the way, the monks exchanged uncertain glances. None dared to challenge him and eventually retreated to their original spots.

“I’m going through. If you dare stop me, my brother-in-law won’t let you off!” the younger brother declared boldly, stepping forward to confront Bai Cheng.
