Qiu Tu’s entire body trembled. Witnessing Master Luan’s escape after offering his treasure, Qiu Tu reasoned that if he too knelt, begged for mercy, and surrendered his possessions, he might avoid death.

The moment Qiu Tu made up his mind, he fell to his knees and begged. Seeing that Master Luan had lost his hands but escaped with his life, a flicker of hope ignited within him.

Kai, however, merely stared at him coldly, his gaze devoid of compassion.

Qiu Tu froze, confusion flashing across his face. He had believed Kai would treat him as he had Master Luan, sparing him in exchange for his possessions. But the next words that left Kai’s lips sent an icy chill down his spine, as though he had fallen into an endless abyss.
“Why not?” Qiu Tu asked, his voice tinged with confusion.
Kai smirked, his tone dripping with mockery. “Because if I kill you, your treasures will still be mine.”
Qiu Tu’s face turned ashen. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Wasn’t it standard practice to exchange treasures for one’s life? Why was Kai disregarding this unwritten rule?
He tried to beg for mercy again, but no sound escaped his lips. His fear had paralyzed him.
In a flash, Kai appeared before Qiu Tu, his palm descending with a force that carried an overwhelming murderous intent, aimed directly at Qiu Tu’s vital points.
“I want you to understand that you are nothing compared to me, and your Qiu Mansion is worthless in my eyes,” Kai said, his voice echoing in Qiu Tu’s ears like the pronouncement of a death sentence.
Qiu Tu felt a crushing power envelop him. He attempted to evade the blow, but it was too late. The palm, as unrelenting as a collapsing mountain, struck his chest with devastating force.
With a deafening “bang,” Qiu Tu’s body flew backward like a kite with its string snapped, landing heavily on the ground.
His chest caved in, and blood poured from his mouth, soaking the ground beneath him.
