Chapter 4795
It wasn’t until the two Tang Sect monks disappeared that Hongyao and Lanyao finally let out a sigh of relief, collapsing to the ground.
The overwhelming pressure from the two Immortal Realm cultivators had been unbearable for them.
At this moment, they were utterly drained.
Kai turned to look at them, his expression as calm as still water.
Yet, the calmer he was, the more fear crept into the sisters’ hearts.
“Master Chen, w-we were wrong. Please forgive us! We’re willing to hand over all our resources as compensation!”
Lan Yao, now devoid of her earlier arrogance, trembled as she spoke, her face pale and pitiful.
“If Master Chen does not find our resources valuable, we sisters are also willing to offer our bodies for your pleasure.”
“As twins, we can provide Master Chen with a unique experience…”
Hongyao batted her large eyes seductively, trying to charm him.
“Not interested.”
Kai dismissed them without hesitation and turned to leave.
Sisters or not, they were of no interest to him.
He had no shortage of women, anyway.
His indifference caught the sisters off guard. They exchanged glances before quickly scrambling to their feet and chasing after him.
“Mr. Chen, wait!”
Hongyao called out.
Kai frowned slightly.
“What? Do you two really want me to sleep with you that badly?”
Hongyao’s face flushed, and she quickly shook her head.
“Our looks are hardly worthy of Master Chen’s favor,” she said with a nervous smile.
“We only wanted to remind you… The man you just killed wasn’t an ordinary person. Do you even know who he was?”
“You already said something about the Tang Sect and their young master,” Kai replied flatly.
“Then Master Chen must not truly understand what the Tang Sect is,” Hongyao said seriously.
“It doesn’t matter who they are,” Kai said coldly. “If they try to kill me, they die. That’s my rule.”
Kai spoke casually, his tone indifferent.
Hearing this, Hongyao and Lanyao broke into a cold sweat.
They had only intended to deceive Kai, not actually harm him.
If they had truly tried to kill him, they would probably be nothing more than corpses by now.
“Mr. Chen, that man was Tang Xiaoyi, a young master of the Tang Sect,” Hongyao explained. “While the Tang Sect isn’t the most powerful, it is still a force to be reckoned with. They hold influence within the Taoist Sect and have a significant voice in its affairs.”
“And how does the Tang Sect compare to the Huo Clan in strength?” Kai asked.
“The Tang Sect isn’t as powerful as the Huo Clan, but the gap isn’t too wide either,” Hongyao replied.
Kai chuckled. “If I don’t fear the Huo Clan, why would the Tang Sect be any different?”
Hongyao was momentarily stunned, a hint of awkwardness flashing across her face.
“Mr. Chen, while the Tang Sect alone may not rival the Huo Clan, things change when you consider the alliance of the Three Sects. Even the Huo Clan would struggle against them.”
“The Three Sects?” Kai frowned, unfamiliar with the term.
“Mr. Chen, the Three Sects—also known as Lian Sanmen—are an alliance formed through marriage,” Lan Yao interjected. “The Tang Sect is one of them. The second is the Qian Sect, known for their mastery of divination and calculation. The third is the Ling Sect, which specializes in raising and commanding spirit beasts.”
“And how does this Three Sects Alliance compare to Sun Moon City?” Kai asked.
“I’m not sure,” Lan Yao admitted, shaking her head. “Sun Moon City is shrouded in mystery. It’s said to be one of the strongest forces in the Heavenly Human Realm, but whether the Three Sects could surpass it, I can’t say for certain.”
Kai smirked coldly. “The emperors of Sun Moon City are all my subordinates. Do you think I’d be afraid of Lian Sanmen?”
With that, he turned and continued walking.
The two sisters exchanged glances, momentarily unsure whether Kai was simply boasting—or if he was truly that formidable.
