An Understated Dominance - Chapter 2291
“Arrogant jerk! How dare a pathetic vampire like you come here and act so boldly? Do you really think no one in Dragonmarsh can take you down?” Aurora shouted, fuming with anger.
Just when she was about to act, Fenley raised his hand to stop her. He knew vampire aristocrats were tough opponents, and Aurora’s current strength wouldn’t be enough to face them.
“I’m guessing this is your first time in Dragonmarsh, right?” Fenley asked calmly, though his gaze was cold.
“So what if it is?” Bill replied, lifting his chin defiantly.
“You must be clueless. It seems your elders didn’t warn you that when you’re in Dragonmarsh, you need to keep a low profile, or you might end up dead.” Fenley slowly stood up, a dangerous energy surrounding him.
In Dragonmarsh, the Strequans could usually go about their business as long as they behaved. But Bill’s reckless actions were like signing his own death warrant.
“End up dead?” Bill laughed mockingly. “Do you and your little group really think you can take me on?”
“Let’s find out,” Fenley said as he slammed his hand on the table. Suddenly, dozens of skewers began to float into the air.
With a flick of his wrist, the skewers shot toward Bill like speeding bullets. Each one was charged with the Grandmaster’s energy, strong enough to pierce steel.
Bill narrowed his eyes as his fingernails suddenly grew three inches and became razor sharp. As the skewers flew at him, he sliced through each one with incredible precision.
His nails were like Divine Weapons, cutting through the skewers as if they were made of butter.
“Is that all you’ve got?” Bill sneered.
Just as he was about to continue his taunts, he noticed that Fenley had vanished from his seat. In the blink of an eye, Fenley reappeared just 20 inches away.
“Huh?” Bill’s eyes widened in shock as he realized Fenley was now right in front of him.
Bill instinctively raised his hand to strike Fenley. But just before he could extend his claws, a sharp pain pierced his chest.
He looked down in shock and saw Fenley’s hand sticking through him, blood covering Fenley’s fingers.
“You-” Bill stammered, his eyes wide with disbelief.
Vampires were known for their speed and strength, usually giving them the upper hand against human martial artists. But he never thought Fenley could be faster than him.
Meanwhile, George and Jeremiah, who had been chatting and watching the fight, suddenly stopped talking. They exchanged surprised glances, both clearly taken aback.
They knew Bill was strong; he often defeated the Grandmasters of Dragonmarsh. But now, he was badly hurt after just one attack. It was clear to them that Fenley was not an ordinary martial artist.
“Pathetic!” Fenley sneered. With a quick flick of his wrist, he sent Bill flying several feet through the air.
Bill crashed into the wall with a loud thud, blood splattering everywhere. “Ugh!” he groaned, coughing up blood.
His face, already pale, turned even more ghostly. Despite his remarkable healing abilities, he couldn’t get up after such a crushing blow.
“You’re tougher than you look,” Fenley said coldly.
For most vampires, a pierced heart would be fatal. But Bill, as an aristocrat, had greater strength and could recover faster. Although his heart was injured and needed time to heal, it wasn’t enough to kill him with just one hit.
“How dare you, you insignificant human! I’m going to rip you apart!” Bill shouted.
His eyes glowed red, and his fangs sharpened. A cloud of scarlet mist surrounded him, almost like it had a mind of its own, before seeping into his wounds. The mist healed his injuries almost instantly.
The others frowned, unable to believe what they were witnessing.
Bill had an incredible ability to heal. Even with a pierced heart, he recovered at an astonishing speed, showing just how powerful he was.
“Go to hell!” he shouted as he fully healed and surged forward.
He transformed into a red shadow as he charged at Fenley. His speed had increased so much that Aurora and Alicia could hardly keep up with their eyes.
“You’re asking for it!” Fenley taunted, standing his ground. He threw a punch that looked ordinary but carried immense power.
When Fenley’s punch hit, there was a loud explosion, and the red shadow burst into a cloud of scarlet mist.
Just when everyone thought Bill was finished, the mist swirled and reformed behind Fenley. In an instant, Bill was back, his sharp fang aimed at Fenley’s neck.
With one bite, Bill could paralyze Fenley, leaving him helpless and ready to be drained dry.
