An Understated Dominance - Chapter 2323
The crowd was thrown into chaos as they watched George’s shocking actions. No one expected him to be so brutal.
Even after winning the match, he stomped on Jermaine’s head. This was not just cruel; it showed a complete lack of respect for life.
“Wow! This Giant has gone too far! He didn’t even leave Jermaine’s body whole. This is unacceptable!” one spectator shouted.
“I can’t believe this. If Jermaine had fought to his full potential, he would have defeated this Giant. How dare he show such arrogance?” another voice echoed.
“His ruthless ways will come back to haunt him,” someone else warned.
The anger of the crowd grew as they yelled insults at George.
In the battle ring, life and death were often part of the competition, and most people accepted that without much fuss. But in the martial world, it was important to leave room for future encounters. If there was no serious grudge, it was expected that the victor wouldn’t completely destroy their opponent.
George had killed Jermaine to win the match, which was brutal but not unheard of. However, going further to mutilate the body crossed a line into true inhumanity.
“He’s trying to scare us,” Aurora said through clenched teeth.
“Fate can be harsh, but creating your own downfall is unforgivable,” Alicia replied. “His actions have sparked anger among all martial artists. Someone will teach him a lesson he won’t forget in the next match.”
Her gaze was steady, but a cold fury burned behind her calm demeanor.
Jermaine was an incredible talent, skilled in the Phantom Reaper technique. He was a rising star in the martial world, with endless potential. His untimely death was a heavy blow to everyone involved. The way George treated his body afterward only added to the outrage.
the crowd’s anger grew even stronger.
“Anyone who enters our territory and provokes us won’t leave alive,” Fenley said coldly.
As Jermaine’s friend, Fenley couldn’t let this injustice happen. Anyone who cared about fairness and their country would feel the same way.
“The Dragonmarsh martial artists are just a bunch of weaklings,” George laughed crazily as he stepped on Jermaine’s lifeless body, completely ignoring the crowd’s reactions.
Oron frowned but stayed quiet.
The match had no rules. The referee could only step in if a contestant surrendered or fell off the ring.
“Damn it! How dare you kill Jermaine? We’ll take you down!” someone shouted furiously from the crowd. Immediately, a group of Soultech Union disciples pulled out their weapons and threatened to tear George apart.
But as they moved forward, a lightning bolt struck the ground just ten yards in front of them, leaving a smoking crater. The disciples froze in fear and couldn’t move any closer.
“Matches are decided by fate. No retaliation is allowed, or you’ll become our enemies,” Oron warned.
The Soultech Union disciples exchanged nervous glances before backing off. Their eyes burned with a desire for revenge as they watched George.
“Contestant number 30 wins the third match,” Oron announced and ordered Jermaine’s body to be removed.
Despite the outcome, the applause was weak. Only a few foreign spectators and contestants clapped.
“Listen up, Dragonmarsh martial artists! Next time, you’d better surrender right away when you face me, or you’ll end up like him,” George declared, his voice full of menace as he swaggered off the ring. Despite his earlier injuries, he had nearly recovered to full strength.
“Damn it! He’s so arrogant. One day,
“I’m going to kill him,” someone muttered angrily.
“He just got lucky in that match. It’s not a big deal!” another person scoffed.
“This Giant’s arrogance won’t last. Once he faces our expert, he’ll be in trouble,” a third person said.
The crowd was furious at George’s arrogance, but all they could do was shout curses to let off steam.
“The match continues. Contestants number four and twenty-nine, please step forward,” Oron announced after cleaning the battle ring.
The schedule was tight, and they couldn’t afford to waste time on one match.
George’s fate would be determined later, based on how the next matches played out.
As the crowd held their breath, two new contestants entered the battle ring.
