An Understated Dominance - Chapter 2326
Chapter 2326
“Cut the crap. If you’ve got guts, come at me,” Dustin challenged, raising one hand in defiance.
“You’ve got a death wish, kid!” Bill shouted, his anger boiling over.
Just as he was about to attack, he remembered something and paused. He glanced at Oron, feeling uneasy, and managed to hold back his rage. Earlier, in a fit of anger, Bill had been nearly defeated by Oron’s powerful Stormcraft. Although they were now in the battle ring, Oron had not signaled for the match to begin yet. Bill knew that if he acted too soon, Oron would have a reason to step in. He wasn’t about to make that mistake again.
“What’s the matter? Afraid to make a move? Is that all you’ve got?” Dustin scoffed.
“You—” Bill growled, his chest heaving with fury. He was visibly angry and planned to make Dustin pay once the match started.
“Are you ready?” Oron asked, his face expressionless.
“I’m ready,” Dustin replied, nodding.
“Ready,” Bill snarled, glaring at Dustin.
“Good. The eighth match begins now!” Oron announced as he stepped out of the ring.
“You’re finally in my grasp,” Bill sneered, his sharp claws extending like blades. “I’ll give you one chance. Drop to your knees and beg for mercy, and I might spare your life and let you become my blood source. Otherwise, don’t blame me for killing you.”
“Is that so? I don’t think you’re up for it,” Dustin replied calmly, standing with his hands behind his back. “Fine. I’ll grant your wish today since you insist on seeking your end.”
The moment Bill finished his threat, he disappeared and reappeared behind Dustin in a flash. Before anyone could react, Bill opened his mouth wide, ready to bite Dustin’s neck.
“Watch out!” Alicia and Aurora gasped, their faces turning pale as Crystal and Ruby stood up nervously. Though they had only just met Dustin, they had quickly come to see him as a friend. Now that he was in danger, they felt anxious.
Just as Bill’s fangs were about to pierce Dustin’s skin, a loud slap echoed in the air. Bill was suddenly sent flying backward, tumbling across the ring until he landed ten yards away.
“What just happened?” Everyone stared in confusion. From their view, Dustin had been facing away from Bill and hadn’t moved at all. Yet, somehow, Bill had been thrown back, leaving them puzzled.
Bill struggled to his feet, dazed and with a red, swollen cheek. He couldn’t understand what had just occurred; it felt like he had been ambushed, and his face throbbed with pain. The spot where he had been hit seemed to have a strange energy that stopped him from healing properly, making the swelling worse.
“Why you—” Bill glared at Dustin. But just as he was about to speak, his teeth started to fall out one by one, even his vampire fangs. He stood frozen, staring at the fangs on the ground and then at Dustin. His face began to twitch with anger.
Fangs were crucial for feeding and represented a vampire’s noble status. Losing them was a huge insult and a blow to their pride. Such humiliation almost always led to a fight to the death.
“Bastard, I’m going to—”
“I’m going to tear you to pieces!” Bill shouted. After a moment of surprise, he let out a fierce roar. His face twisted into a frightening snarl, and his body shook as a thick cloud of red mist burst from him and surrounded him.
Covered in the swirling red mist, Bill charged at Dustin. The mist shifted in the air and formed into a giant Crimson Skullhead.
This skull was over 30 feet wide and moved with amazing speed, growing even larger as it approached Dustin. It hovered above him like a dark cloud, making it impossible for him to escape.
“If I’m right, this is a vampire’s secret move,” someone said. “If a human martial artist gets caught in this red mist, they will be turned into nothing but blood—no bones left behind. It’s incredibly deadly!”
“Looks like Number Eight is finished for today!” another voice called out.
“Damn those vampires! We’re going to lose another expert!” The onlookers watched in fear and frustration as the huge Crimson Skullhead overshadowed the battle ring. They could only watch helplessly as the skull engulfed Dustin.
