An Understated Dominance - Chapter 2336
“Is this the Dawson Clan’s sacred weapon? It’s terrifying!” one spectator exclaimed. “Wow! Sam is really going all out from the start. He’s not holding back at all.” The crowd gasped as they watched countless hidden weapons float above the battle ring.
They thought the thousand-talon coffer was just a fancy name, but they were shocked to see it held over a thousand different weapons. The sight was overwhelming and made them uneasy.
What was even more alarming was that none of these weapons were ordinary. Each one was deadly enough to make a typical martial artist famous just by having one. But Sam had released thousands of these lethal weapons all at once.
Who could possibly withstand that? “Oh no! Caleb is in danger!” Aurora’s face tightened as she watched from the stands.
She hadn’t expected the thousand-talon coffer to hold so many powerful weapons. If Sam unleashed them all at once, Caleb wouldn’t stand a chance.
“If Sam hadn’t used the thousand-talon coffer, the fight could have been anyone’s game. But now, Caleb doesn’t have a chance,” Fenley said, shaking his head. Even he knew he would have to give his all if he faced the Dawson Clan’s sacred artifact.
“What a shame,” Alicia said, her disappointment clear. She didn’t like Sam and had hoped Caleb would win, but that hope now seemed almost impossible.
Suddenly, Alloy spoke up, “Sage Foyer, your disciple is impressive for someone so young. He even mastered the Divine Talisman. But unfortunately, he’s facing a tough opponent. If he doesn’t concede soon, he might be in real danger.”
“I wouldn’t be so sure about that,” Kaden said just before Cyrus interrupted with a sneer.
“If he were one of your Celestial Alliance disciples, he would be as good as dead,” Cyrus said, shaking his head.
“But the Sacred Wrym Summit disciple is different. With the Glow Incantation for protection and Stormcraft and Divine Talismans to support him, there’s still a chance he could win.” Cyrus knew the power of the Sacred Wrym Summit’s three great techniques all too well.
Years ago, he had been full of confidence in his swordsmanship. He wanted to challenge Arion for the title of the world’s most extraordinary fighter. During their duel, Arion used the Glow Incantation and managed to withstand Cyrus’s attacks for half an hour without getting hurt. Frustrated, Cyrus called Arion a coward for only knowing how to defend himself.
However, everything changed when a single strike of Stormcraft left Cyrus badly injured, forcing him to stay in bed for a month. After that, he gave up on his dreams of claiming the title.
Caleb, on the other hand, couldn’t quite compare to Arion. Still, the techniques from Sacred Wrym Summit were powerful. If Caleb could master the Glow Incantation and Stormcraft, he would be more than capable of defending himself.
Alloy smirked and said, “The effectiveness of the Glow Incantation and Stormcraft really depends on the user. Caleb has talent, but he’s still young and lacks experience.”
He continued, “With the Dawson Clan’s thousand-talon coffer, continuous attacks would quickly drain his internal energy. Without energy, how can he use the Glow Incantation?” The Glow Incantation was impressive, but the Dawson Clan’s hidden weapons were known for breaking through protective barriers. A relentless series of attacks could easily overwhelm Caleb.
“Hmph! There’s no point in arguing,” Cyrus replied, feeling the weight of their discussion.
“Let’s see how this unfolds,” Cyrus said with a dismissive scoff. He wasn’t interested in arguing with Alloy any longer.
As the two men bickered, Kaden watched with a wry smile, choosing to stay silent.
In the battle ring, Sam raised his hand, and hundreds of hidden weapons floated into the air, all aimed at Caleb.
“Here’s your chance,” Sam said coldly. “Surrender now, or these weapons will kill you on the spot.”
“Thanks for the warning, but I’d like to try my luck,” Caleb replied, his expression hardening as a golden light surrounded him, strengthening his defenses.
“Your Glow Incantation won’t stop my hidden weapons. Are you trying to get yourself killed?” Sam frowned. He didn’t want to make enemies with Sacred Wrym Summit, but if Caleb was going to be reckless, he wouldn’t hold back.
“Whether I live or die is up to fate. I’ll do my best,” Caleb said calmly, his gaze steady.
“Very well. Then, I won’t hold back,” Sam snorted, giving no further warning. He raised his hand and unleashed a storm of hidden weapons at Caleb in one swift motion.
Thousands of deadly projectiles erupted from all directions, falling like a relentless torrent. The air filled with the thunderous rush of the attack, each weapon carrying an overwhelming sense of terror.
The spectators below the ring gasped, their eyes widening in disbelief at the spectacle. The sight of so many weapons unleashed in such a coordinated attack was breathtaking. It felt as if they could tear the sky apart, sending chills down everyone’s spines.
As the deadly barrage descended, Caleb didn’t move forward. Instead, he retreated and transformed into a streak of gold light, charging straight at Sam.
Caleb had a plan: if he could defeat Sam, all of the hidden weapons would no longer matter.
