An Understated Dominance - Chapter 2337
Chapter 2337
“You’re just a foolish moth drawn to the flame,” Sam sneered at Caleb.
No matter how much Caleb pushed the Glow Incantation, he couldn’t withstand the power of the thousand-talon coffer. The weapons inside were not only highly destructive but also had unique abilities—wind, fire, thunder, lightning, ice, and various toxins. Some of these weapons specifically targeted protective armor, making them especially effective against the Glow Incantation.
Sam knew that Caleb wouldn’t be able to break through the attack with just the Glow Incantation. His only chance to win was to wear Caleb down.
As Caleb charged forward, a storm of hidden weapons rained down on him. Soon, he was completely surrounded by the relentless assault.
The battle ring was lit up with bursts of light and loud explosions, while waves of energy surged like tidal waves.
“Stormcraft!” Caleb shouted. Amidst the swirling dust and smoke, a bright blue lightning bolt shot out, quickly spreading to form a net that struck in all directions.
Hidden weapons caught in the lightning’s path fell from the sky, clattering like rain. While the lightning destroyed many incoming attacks, even more fierce projectiles continued to bombard Caleb’s golden figure.
Each wave of attacks weakened the golden light surrounding him. At this rate, Caleb’s shield would be gone in under a minute.
“Heaven, Earth, Gale, Thunderstorm, Abyss, Inferno, Peak, Torrent!” Suddenly, the golden figure waved his hands and sent out eight different-colored divine talismans.
These talismans spun rapidly, stirring up a fierce wind that sent sand and debris flying. The terrifying energy rippled through the air.
“Wow! Am I seeing this right? Is that really…?”
“What is the Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman?”
“Wow! How can someone so young use this technique? That’s incredible!”
“Only the top elders at Sacred Wyrm Summit can master this secret technique. Could it be that Caleb has already mastered the Divine Talisman?”
“He’s truly talented. A phenomenal talent!”
The crowd was amazed as they watched eight glowing figures spinning in the sky.
Mastering the Glow Incantation was a huge achievement, requiring decades of hard work. The same was true for Stormcraft.
But Caleb had mastered both techniques at an incredibly young age. Because of this, he received the title of a once-in-a-century genius from Sacred Wyrm Summit.
No one expected him to also master the Divine Talisman. It was unbelievable.
At under 20 years old, having mastered all three legendary techniques of Sacred Wyrm Summit seemed miraculous. Was he even human? Even the famous Ancient Sage, Arion, might not have reached this level in his prime. It was astonishing.
Alloy, Cyrus, and Penelope, who were seated in the front row, were stunned. At first, they thought Caleb was just a beginner with the Divine Talisman. They were shocked to realize he had mastered it so well.
Unlike the Glow Incantation and Stormcraft, the Divine Talisman needed exceptional talent and understanding. Most disciples at Sacred Wyrm Summit would struggle to learn it in their lifetimes.
Yet, Caleb had already mastered the Divine Talisman, the Glow Incantation, and Stormcraft before turning 20. His skills were truly impressive.
Alloy, Cyrus, and Penelope exchanged worried looks. They knew the Sacred Wyrm Summit was in for a challenging future.
The Sacred Wyrm Summit was becoming a breeding ground for incredible talents, first with Arion and now with Caleb. It seemed destined to be the dominant force for the next hundred years.
Sam couldn’t believe it. “Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman? There’s no way it can stop my thousand-talon coffer!” His shock turned into fierce determination as he readied himself for a full-on attack.
Even though the Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman was powerful, Sam had the Dawson Clan’s sacred artifact, which provided him strong protection.
“Rising Tide!” Sam focused his mental energy and slammed his hand onto the thousand-talon coffer.
The coffer shook violently, bursting with a blinding white light that filled the battle ring. After the flash, all the hidden weapons that had fallen rose back into the air, launching their attack on Caleb once more.
The strength of the thousand-talon coffer lay in its ability to control thousands of hidden weapons at once. As long as it was intact, it could keep attacking endlessly. No one could stop it.
“Advance, Combatants, Engage, Entirety, Form, Lines, March Forward!” Sam commanded.
Surrounded by golden light, Caleb quickly formed a series of hand seals and shouted, “Eight Trigrams of the Divine Talisman! Break!” As he yelled “Break,” eight divine talismans burst forth in a blinding flash and exploded with a thunderous sound.
The ground shook, and a powerful wind whipped through the air. A massive wave of energy surged across the battle ring, overwhelming like a landslide or tidal wave.
This force scattered the Dawson Clan’s hidden weapons and dismantled their control. Some of the weaker weapons even shattered into dust.
Sam, caught off guard by the mental shock, coughed up blood and staggered backward. Before he could react…
As a streak of golden light rushed towards him, Caleb called out, “Stormcraft!” He pointed two fingers and tapped Sam’s chest.
Everyone braced for Sam to be thrown back, but instead, Caleb’s blue lightning flickered at his fingertips. He didn’t strike.
Sam looked down, surprise and acceptance written on his face. After a moment, he let out a sigh and said, “Thank you, Mr. Caleb, for showing mercy. I concede.”
