“Dr. Rhys, good luck!”

As Dustin stepped into the battle ring, Alicia and Aurora cheered for him from the sidelines. Their excitement drew more people to watch, and soon, the venue erupted with loud applause and cheers from all around.

In his earlier match against Bill, Dustin had shown off his great strength and made his nation proud. After winning that fight, he had become quite popular. Now, he was up against another foreign opponent.

No matter what the spectators thought personally, they all rallied behind him. The people of Dragonmarsh were known for their unity when facing outsiders. Even though they often had their own disagreements, they came together as one when there was a common threat.

Once Dustin entered the ring, Jeremiah, contestant number nine, stepped forward. Unlike Bill and George, who had both met unfortunate ends, Jeremiah was calm and collected. He had only shown his strength once before, when he defeated Truce, and had otherwise kept a low profile.

But Dustin knew that this calm facade was just an act. Among the three contestants sent by the Hall of Gods, Jeremiah was the strongest, more powerful than the other two combined.

“I can see you’re a tough opponent,” Jeremiah said, his eyes locked on Dustin. “I bet beating you won’t be easy.”

Though he couldn’t fully judge Dustin’s strength, Jeremiah sensed a threat that was on par with Fenley and the top experts on the Legendary List. In fact, he suspected that Dustin might be even stronger. He was ready to give this fight everything he had.

“Defeat me?” Dustin replied with a slight smile. “If you manage to walk away alive, I’ll call that a win for you.”

Dustin had no plans to show mercy to the followers of the Hall of Gods, especially not to those who posed a real threat.

Jeremiah felt a serious threat from his opponent. He was ready to take on anyone.

“Oh? You seem pretty confident,” Jeremiah said with a grin. “Are you really sure you can beat me?”

“Let’s find out,” Dustin replied calmly.

“Fine! Let me see what you can do,” Jeremiah scoffed as his body started to change. A thick layer of black scales covered him, acting like armor to protect his vulnerable spots.

His arms morphed into sharp, black blades, similar to the weapons George had used earlier. But Jeremiah was even stronger because of his advanced genetic modifications.

He had taken the best traits from many species, which made him faster, stronger, tougher, and more aware. It was fair to say he had no weaknesses; he was almost a perfect killing machine.

“Show me your weapon,” Jeremiah said as he spread his arms wide.

The sharp blades sliced into the battle ring floor, creating deep grooves as if the surface were made of butter. Their sharpness was evident in how easily they cut through.

“You’ll see it when you’re dead,” Dustin smiled.

Even though Jeremiah was clever, he was annoyed by Dustin’s dismissive attitude.

“The match… begins now!” Oron announced, sensing the tension in the air. He quickly stepped out of the battle ring.

“Let’s see what you’ve got!” Jeremiah launched himself forward like an arrow, ready to attack.

He was in top shape, with senses that were incredibly sharp. He could spot any weakness in Dustin’s stance with deadly accuracy.

As Jeremiah got closer, Dustin flicked his wrist and sent three silver needles flying from his sleeve. Two aimed for Jeremiah’s eyes, while the third went straight for his heart.

Jeremiah grunted but didn’t hesitate. He charged ahead and swung his blades to deflect the two needles.

Needles flew toward his eyes with a sharp clang. Jeremiah ignored the third needle and let it pierce the scales on his chest.

The needle hit the scales, sending sparks flying. Unbothered, Jeremiah kept charging forward while the needle twisted and fell to the ground, not causing him any harm.

“Interesting,” Dustin said with a smirk.

His silver needles weren’t meant to be deadly, but they usually took down even the most skilled martial artists. Their failure against Jeremiah showed just how strong his defenses were.

“Die!” With lightning speed, Jeremiah closed the distance and swung his blades toward Dustin’s neck with incredible force.
