An Understated Dominance - Chapter 2360
Dustin stood his ground as a black blade rushed toward him. He didn’t flinch or dodge. Instead, he reached out with two fingers and caught the blade.
As soon as his fingers made contact, the blade stopped, humming softly and shining ominously in the light.
Jeremiah’s eyes widened in shock as he saw Dustin catch the blade so easily. He had put at least 80% of his strength into that strike, and the modified blade was sharp enough to cut through steel without breaking a sweat. It could slice through almost anything—even a tank.
But Dustin had stopped the attack with just two fingers. Was he some kind of genetically enhanced warrior?
Jeremiah’s surprise quickly turned into determination as he tried to pull his blade back. But before he could gather his strength, Dustin twisted his fingers, and with a loud crack, the blade shattered.
Jeremiah frowned, taken aback. Yet, he didn’t hesitate and swung another blade at Dustin’s head.
“Again?” Dustin said, repeating his earlier move. He caught the descending blade with his fingers and, with a quick twist, broke it in half.
Jeremiah staggered back, feeling the force of the impact. He looked down at his arms and saw both shattered blades. What were once powerful weapons now felt weak and flimsy against Dustin. It was a heavy blow to his confidence.
“Do you have any other tricks?” Dustin asked calmly.
“Things are just heating up!” Jeremiah replied, spreading his arms wide and slamming them down forcefully.
In an instant, the broken blade on his arms began to regenerate, restoring itself in the blink of an eye. The blade was part of him, and his body was infused with the genes of many powerful creatures.
Among those abilities was the quick regeneration characteristic of vampires. He could not only regrow a lost arm but also recover even if his head were completely…
Jeremiah had a special ability: if his limbs were severed, he could heal quickly as long as they were reattached. As one of the most powerful genetically enhanced soldiers, this was just one of his many skills.
“Impressive,” Dustin said, squinting. He was amazed at how quickly Jeremiah grew back the broken blades on his arms. It was faster than George’s regeneration.
“Bring it on!” Jeremiah shouted as he charged forward without fear.
He raised his blades and swung them toward Dustin’s neck, aiming from both sides like a giant pair of scissors.
Dustin scoffed and rushed forward. Just as the blades were about to hit him, he punched Jeremiah hard in the chest.
The blow shattered Jeremiah’s scales and created a deep, bloody wound. Jeremiah flew back ten yards, as if he had been hit by a truck.
But he flipped in midair and landed firmly on his feet, leaving two deep impressions in the ground.
Jeremiah looked down at his chest, frowning. His scales could withstand even the toughest attacks, but Dustin’s punch had broken through, exposing bone. Jeremiah had underestimated Dustin’s strength.
He had thought Dustin would be about as strong as Fenley, but now he realized Dustin was even more dangerous. Fenley was ranked fifth on the Legendary List, but Dustin was a true threat.
Jeremiah knew he couldn’t hold back anymore. He usually excelled in long battles, but to win this match, he needed to act quickly.
Taking a deep breath, he activated his third form.
His body expanded, muscles and bones growing as his black energy surged.
Jeremiah’s scales slowly turned red. His once-human face twisted into a frightening beast with sharp fangs that made him look even more menacing.
The most unsettling part was the pair of red horns sprouting from his head and the lizard-like tail extending from his lower back. With his horns, tail, and monstrous face, he looked like a creature straight out of the Streuqua myths.
“Holy crap! What is that? It’s terrifying!” someone exclaimed.
“A demon! That’s definitely a demon!” another person shouted.
“This is bad. He looks incredibly strong. Is Dustin going to be okay?” someone worried.
“Damn it! With a transformation like that, how can anyone fight him?” another voice added.
The sudden change sent a chill down everyone’s spine.
Before, Jeremiah had seemed odd with his scaly skin and bladed arms, but he still looked somewhat human. Now, he had fully transformed into a beast.
Standing nearly ten feet tall, covered in red armor-like scales, with razor-sharp claws and menacing fangs, he had become a demon. Just one look at him made people’s skin crawl and filled them with fear.
Faced with such a creature, everyone wondered if Dustin could really defeat Jeremiah.
