An Understated Dominance - Chapter 2404
A loud boom shook the ground like an earthquake. When the purple sword aura met the nine-colored divine swords, a powerful wave of energy erupted, resembling a volcanic explosion.
The air was filled with a deafening roar as the energy waves swept through, distorting the space around them. The battle ring, once solid, cracked like fragile glass and broke into pieces.
Above, a huge blue protective shield stretched to its limits, shaking violently under the pressure. Cracks spread across its surface like a spider web, creating a pattern that covered the entire shield.
“Hold it together!” Oron shouted. He and several other masters from Sacred Wyrm Summit poured their energy into the shield, trying to keep it intact.
But despite their efforts, the cracks continued to grow. Moments later, the barrier shattered with a loud crash.
The shockwave sent Oron and the other masters flying back more than ten yards. They were injured before they even hit the ground, blood spilling from their mouths and noses.
The remaining shockwave didn’t slow down; it continued to surge outward like a wild tide, overwhelming the crowd. Those with strong skills managed to hold their ground, but the weaker ones were thrown around, getting hurt and bruised.
In an instant, chaos erupted. The air filled with screams, curses, and cries for help.
For Dustin and Glenn, even the smallest ripple from their battle was too much for ordinary people to handle. No one had expected such a fierce clash. It not only destroyed the battle ring but also broke down the carefully set up defenses of Sacred Wyrm Summit.
The masters from Sacred Wyrm Summit were overwhelmed. The destructive force they witnessed was beyond anything they had ever seen.
“Quick! Help the injured!” Kaden shouted as the match’s outcome became irrelevant. He quickly organized his team to assist those hurt.
The other major guilds also jumped into action. In the face of such a disaster, no one could just stand by.
Luckily, most of the audience were martial artists, who could protect themselves, so there were no serious injuries. The few non-martial artists present were often wealthy or influential, accompanied by their own bodyguards.
Thanks to the leadership of Sacred Wyrm Summit and the teamwork of various guilds, order was restored quickly. They helped the injured off the stands or carried them away.
Meanwhile, the remaining spectators were glued to the center of the ring, more interested in the outcome of the match than their own injuries.
The battle ring was now a wreck. What had once been a 100-foot arena was now just a pile of rubble. Dust and smoke filled the air, making it hard to see through the debris.
A gentle breeze blew through and cleared the smoke, revealing two figures standing on top of the rubble.
On the left, Glenn, dressed in black, wore a cold expression. He was breathing heavily, and blood dripped from the corner of his mouth. In front of him, nine divine swords were stuck in the ground, their once-bright glow now dim and lifeless.
On the right, Dustin stood in white. His face was pale and covered in sweat. His hand, which gripped the Dragon Sparrow sword, was trembling slightly, with blood dripping from his palm down the blade.
The two fighters stood still, staring at each other, unsure of what to do next.
“What’s happening? Who won?” someone in the crowd asked.
“Neither of them has fallen. Could it be a draw?” another replied, confusion spreading among the spectators.
With the battle ring in ruins and the defense formation shattered, continuing the fight seemed impossible. At their level of skill, even a hint of their leftover power could wipe out most of the audience. A new clash could easily turn everyone into ash.
“Sage Foyer, what should we do now?” Alloy asked, taken aback by how things had turned out.
Kaden hesitated, his expression growing serious. He had expected to control the situation with the defense formation and help from the masters of Sacred Wrym Summit. Normally, everything would have gone smoothly.
But he never expected Dustin and Glenn to unleash such destructive power. They had destroyed the battle ring and broken the formation. Now, with no clear winner, things were getting out of control.
“Since the ring is destroyed, continuing the match seems pointless. How about we declare it a draw?” Penelope suddenly suggested.
Kaden didn’t reply right away. Instead, he turned to Cyrus and Alloy, asking, “What do you think?”
“I have no objections,” Alloy shrugged.
“It’s unfortunate, but a draw seems fair,” Cyrus added after thinking for a moment.
“Alright then. If everyone agrees, it’s settled.”
Kaden stood up and raised his voice using his internal energy. “The battle ring has been destroyed, the defense formation is broken, and neither contestant has won.”
After talking with everyone involved, we have decided to call this match a draw!
