An Understated Dominance - Chapter 2403
Glenn now possessed nine legendary swords, but none compared to the Dragon Sparrow, which he considered a true treasure. If he could obtain it, he would feel he had achieved half of his life’s goals.
“I didn’t want to use the Dragon Sparrow, but I can’t win without it,” Dustin said as he firmly grasped the sword. It was a legacy left to him by Seth.
Dustin had promised never to use the Dragon Sparrow unless it was absolutely necessary. But the pressure Glenn was applying was too much, leaving him no choice but to summon the sword.
“If winning this match is so important to you, how about we make a deal?” Glenn proposed eagerly. “I can help you become champion, but you have to give me the Dragon Sparrow. What do you think?”
To Dustin, the sword was worth far more than the fame of winning the tournament. He wouldn’t hesitate to betray the Sword Union if it meant acquiring the sword.
“Are you insulting me?” Dustin replied, raising an eyebrow. “As fellow swordsmen, what makes you think a title is worth more than this sword?”
Glenn hesitated and then sharpened his gaze. After a moment, he nodded. “You’re right. I misspoke. Let me see the power of the Dragon Sparrow for myself!”
Dustin glanced at the setting sun, its fiery red glow slowly disappearing on the horizon. “It’s getting late. Let’s finish this with one move,” he said lightly.
“Exactly what I was thinking!” Glenn’s expression grew serious.
What had begun as a warm-up now turned into a life-and-death battle, as both sides revealed their strongest weapons.
“This strike is called the Draconic Edge. Be careful,” Dustin warned, tightening his grip on the Dragon Sparrow as he raised it slowly.
In his mind, he replayed the image of Seth’s final swing.
With that powerful blow, the world shook. The sun and moon dimmed, mountains split apart, and rivers were torn away. In the end, Seth had destroyed the entire Dragon Guard and changed history forever.
Today, Dustin’s strike was not just about winning the battle. It was also a tribute to Seth and a way to carry on the legacy of the Sword Whisperer.
“Ninëfold Convergence!” Glenn shouted as he noticed Dustin’s shift in energy. He acted quickly.
With a flick of his finger, nine divine swords shot into the sky, spinning rapidly. The beams of light from each sword collided and formed a massive, shimmering sword with nine colors.
This sword glowed with swirling light, releasing waves of deadly energy that surged like an unstoppable force. Even the slightest touch from the scattered energy could lead to certain death.
“Dawnbreaker!” Glenn yelled, commanding the nine-colored divine sword to strike Dustin.
Suddenly, the sky darkened, and fierce winds began to swirl around them. The ground shook, forcing Oron and the other masters to channel their energy into the formation to keep it steady.
“Draconic Edge!”
As Dustin saw the massive nine-colored sword coming down, he raised his hand and made a simple slash. There were no flashy moves—just pure determination—but it took everything he had.
Sweat streamed down his face, and his hands and legs trembled. He was exhausted, with his true energy nearly gone. He had no strength left to fight.
A purple sword aura shot forward, moving with calm precision yet unstoppable force, aimed straight at the nine-colored sword.
What started as a three-foot-long blade of light grew longer with each inch it traveled, expanding by three inches.
In an instant, the purple aura expanded to over 30 feet and quickly surpassed the nine-colored divine sword. Everyone watched as the two forces finally met, creating a loud and powerful crash that filled the air.
