An Understated Dominance - Chapter 2414

“Mr. Sadrick, we’re stuck in this magic circle. What do we do now?” Danny asked, looking around in a panic. He felt lost and confused.

He had thought that following Dustin would keep them safe, especially since he was scouting ahead. But when they entered the Forbidden Ground, thick fog surrounded them, and they quickly lost sight of everyone.

“Don’t panic. Just keep moving forward. We’ll find a way out,” Marcell said, scanning the ground carefully.

There was only one path to follow. The faint footprints left by Dustin and the others would guide them. As long as they stayed on the trail, they should be able to catch up.

“Stay close, everyone! Don’t fall behind, or you’ll be in trouble!” Danny called out to the group.

Everyone tightened their formation in response. At this moment, falling behind could lead to danger.

Under Marcell’s leadership, the two groups came together and moved forward. Everyone was alert, hands on their weapons, eyes scanning for any sign of a monster.

After following the footprints for about thirty minutes, Marcell started to feel uneasy. The footprints were still there, but they seemed oddly familiar, as if they had seen them before.

By their pace, they should have been out of the fog by now, but they weren’t. Were they trapped?

Marcell frowned and marked the ground before moving forward, feeling anxious. Half an hour later, he suddenly stopped. He noticed the mark he had just made and realized they had come back to where they started.

A chill of panic washed over him. He was sure he had been moving forward without making any turns or backtracking. If that was true, why were they back where they began?

“Mr. Sadrick, this doesn’t look good,” Danny said, noticing strange markings on the ground. His face fell as he realized they had been walking in circles for quite a while, and trouble was brewing.

Marcell, however, remained confident. “This maze won’t be a problem. I have a plan.”

He pulled a small black bottle from his pocket and opened it. Two black-winged insects flew out and landed softly in his palm.

“Mr. Sadrick, what are those?” Danny asked, curious.

“They’re my specially bred spysects,” Marcell explained. “They’re trained to track treasures. As long as something valuable is nearby, they’ll sense it quickly. Just follow them, and we’ll find our way out.”

“Wow, those are incredible!” Danny said, trying to compliment him. But inside, he thought, “If you had these spysects, why didn’t you use them sooner? We’ve wasted over an hour!”

“Go ahead and lead us!” Marcell said, raising his hand. The spysects flew off and disappeared into the fog in an instant.

“Mr. Sadrick, they’re gone!” Danny exclaimed, surprised. How were they supposed to follow them now?

“Don’t worry. Let them fly for a bit. Just follow me,” Marcell replied, walking forward confidently. He had a special connection with the spysects and could sense their location within ten miles, so he wasn’t worried about losing them.

The group followed Marcell, relieved that they weren’t getting lost this time. After about half an hour, the fog began to lift, and they could see more of their surroundings.

Soon, they reached the base of a large mountain. In the distance, they spotted the entrance to the Sacred Wyrm Summit’s Forbidden Ground, which was guarded by two heavy bronze gates. Getting through wouldn’t be easy.

“Yay! We’re out! We made it!”

“Just like I knew you would, Mr. Sadrick! You’re incredible!”

“With Mr. Sadrick in charge, this mission is going to be a success!”

The whole team cheered as they stepped out of the fog. The heavy feeling of being trapped disappeared, replaced by a sense of relief.

Being stuck in the fog had been tough, but thanks to Marcell’s experience and the spysect’s help, they finally found their way out. It seemed they had picked the right leader after all.

“Mr. Sadrick, it looks like we’re the only ones who made it out. The other team is still inside,” Danny said, looking around for Dustin and the others.

“Guess they’re just unlucky. You don’t expect me to go back and save them, do you?” Marcell replied, sounding unconcerned.

“Of course not,” Danny chuckled. “I’d rather they stay lost. The fewer people we have to compete with for the treasure, the better for us.”

“Exactly,” Marcell nodded. “Once we get the treasure, we’ll split it 50-50. The wealth of Sacred Wrym Summit could last us for centuries. If we pull this off, we’ll never have to work again.”

“Looks like we’re about to get rich!” Danny laughed loudly.

“Don’t get ahead of yourself. We still have to get through that door before we can find the treasure,” Marcell pointed to the large bronze gate in front of them.

“Relax, Mr. Sadrick. I’ve got this!” Danny thumped his chest confidently. “It’s just a door, right? Watch me break it down with one punch.”

He took off his jacket to show his strong arms and walked confidently toward the door.

The bronze door stood 20 feet tall and 16 feet wide, covered in ancient, mystical symbols.

Danny positioned himself, took a deep breath, and slammed his fist against the door. “Open up!” he shouted.
