An Understated Dominance - Chapter 259
“Kiddo! You have two choices: kneel before Mr. Hummer or die!” The Judge’s voice was cold, and his stare was steady and emotionless. He had been killing since he was ten and had taken many lives since then.
“I choose death. Come at me if you can,” Dustin replied, waving his finger in a challenging way.
“How insolent!” The Judge’s eyes grew even colder as he threw his spear at Dustin. It flew straight toward his chest like a cannonball.
Dustin didn’t move. Instead, he caught the spear and hurled it back with a swift motion, sending it racing toward the Judge with even more speed.
The Judge smirked and copied Dustin’s action, grabbing his own spear. But as soon as he held it, he felt a shock like lightning. He staggered back, his feet sliding along the ground and leaving deep marks.
“How could this happen?” The Judge’s face changed as he struggled to control his spear.
A painful wound opened up between his thumb and index finger, blood oozing from the pressure. Despite the agony, he didn’t let go.
“Ahhh!” Realizing he couldn’t stop it, he screamed in despair. “Save me, Mr. Hummer!” His arrogance vanished as fear took over.
Before anyone could react, the Judge’s spear slipped from his grip and pierced through his chest. With a final whistle, it embedded itself into the wall, leaving a hole the size of an egg behind.
Groaning in pain, the Judge looked down in shock at his injury.
Dustin looked at the lifeless body of Judge, who lay on the ground with a gaping hole in his chest. Judge’s mouth opened as if he wanted to speak, but no sound came out. He fell backward, dead from his own weapon.
The crowd was silent, shocked by what they had just witnessed. They had expected Dustin to be defeated by Judge, but instead, it was Judge who had fallen, impaled by his own spear with just a flick of Dustin’s hand.
No one could believe their eyes. The third-ranked warrior among The Hundred Immortals had died in such a strange and sudden way that it seemed unreal.
“Oh my goodness, where did this monster come from?” Istrid exclaimed, her eyes wide in disbelief.
Darkwrath, Lightwrath, and Judge were all powerful fighters, yet Dustin had taken them down as if they were nothing.
“Who is this kid? He actually killed Judge!” someone whispered in shock.
“Who knows? He’s really talented for his age,” another replied, staring at Dustin with a mix of fear and admiration.
Joshua, who had been watching, shook his head in surprise. “Kiddo, I didn’t expect you to be this skilled. I underestimated you,” he said, though he quickly sneered again.
The Hundred Immortals was a ranking for lower-level martial artists, but they were far behind the divine-level martial artists. Joshua, being a divine-level fighter, was now capable of challenging the best of the best.
Immortals. To Dustin, a low-level martial artist like Judge was as insignificant as an ant. Just like he had killed Judge with one swift strike, he could easily do the same to anyone else, with even less effort.
This was the true power of a divine-level martial artist.
“Let her go, or you will die,” Dustin said coldly.
“Kid, don’t be so arrogant! Just because you took down Judge doesn’t mean you can act recklessly in front of me. I’m already a divine-level martial artist. I could crush you ordinary people with just a flick of my finger!”
As Joshua spoke, his arms shook, and a menacing energy radiated from him.
