An Understated Dominance - Chapter 258
“Mr. Hummer! Something terrible has happened!” Fletcher burst into the room, stumbling as he entered. He looked disheveled and panicked, which seemed very out of place.
“What’s going on?” Joshua’s face turned serious. “Speak up. What’s wrong?”
“D–Dustin is out here on a killing spree!” Fletcher whispered urgently.
“Oh?” Joshua raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “He has the nerve to come here, knowing this is the lion’s den? Is this kid really that brave?”
“What do we do now, Mr. Hummer?” Fletcher asked nervously.
“What do you mean? Get Darkwrath and Lightwrath to take care of him. We can’t let him ruin our party.” Joshua waved his hand dismissively.
“Mr. Hummer, he’s already killed them both!” Fletcher said solemnly.
“Huh?” Joshua frowned, surprised. “When Darkwrath and Lightwrath team up, even Judge has to go all out. Is this kid really that skilled?”
“It would have been great if they had teamed up, but they were too arrogant and gave him a chance to beat them,” Fletcher replied, feeling helpless.
“Those fools! What useless trash!” Joshua was frustrated. He didn’t want to waste extra effort on someone he thought would be easy to deal with.
Just then, the massive doors of the villa were kicked open with a loud bang. A tall figure walked in, eyes filled with anger.
“Listen up, Hummers. You have three minutes. Let her go right now, or nobody leaves this place alive.” Dustin’s voice was cold as he surveyed the room.
The hall erupted in chaos at his words.
“Who is this guy? How dare he make a scene here? Doesn’t he care about his life?”
“If you don’t want to die, get out now. Otherwise, you’re done for!”
“Who does he think he is? He’s so reckless!”
Everyone whispered among themselves, shocked and confused.
“Everyone, please calm down. I’ll take care of this,” Joshua said firmly.
He walked to the center of the room with a slight smile. “You must be Dustin. Kneel and apologize to my honored guests, and I might spare your life.”
Dustin looked at him defiantly. “Who do you think you are? I won’t kneel before you.”
Joshua’s smile faded, and his expression darkened. “Kiddo, do you know who you’re talking to? Just because you beat Darkwrath and Lightwrath doesn’t make you special. To me, they’re just like you—nothing more than ants.”
“You have two minutes left,” Dustin replied, his face unreadable.
Joshua chuckled. “I’ll give you credit; you’re brave for someone who’s about to die.” He turned to the Judge and said, “I’ll leave him to you. Deal with him quickly. I don’t want blood on the floor.”
“Got it!” the Judge replied.
Just then, a middle-aged man in a long robe jumped down from the second floor. He was tall, wore a mask, and held a short steel spear, giving off a chilling presence.
“Wow! That’s the Judge, ranked third among the Hundred Immortals! I can’t believe he’s here!” someone exclaimed.
“With the Judge here, there’s no chance for escape. This punk is done for!” another added.
The hall buzzed with excitement as the Judge’s arrival promised chaos.
“Dustin! We’re here to help you!” shouted Isfrid, along with a few injured shadow guards, as they entered the room.
“You won’t be any help. Stay out of this,” Dustin said flatly.
Isfrid frowned, feeling hurt for being dismissed like that. It was the first time in her life she had ever been treated this way.
“Even if we’re not as skilled as you, we still have something to offer. It would be better to have more people on our side,” she said firmly.
“Do what you want. Just don’t get in my way,” Dustin replied, uninterested.
She frowned. As a top female fighter, she had never faced such open disrespect. No matter what, she was determined to show her true strength and prove that women could be just as powerful as men.
Just then, she looked ahead and saw Judge standing right in the middle of the area. She froze in shock.
“What’s happening? Why is Judge here? Did the Hummers invite outsiders to the fight?” Isfrid thought, feeling both nervous and worried.
With one of the strongest warriors from The Hundred Immortals present, they knew they were in serious trouble. Judge’s skills were much greater than those of Darkwrath and Lightwrath—they weren’t even close to being on the same level.
This was a big problem!
