“B-buddy?!” General Jenkins was shocked to see Adam’s friendly face. He couldn’t believe it. The man standing in front of him was the famous God of War!

He was also the youngest chief general of Dragonmarsh, a powerful figure who commanded thousands without reporting to anyone.

But how could this incredible warrior actually call Dustin his buddy?

Jade was in disbelief. “No way! How could that guy know Chief General Spanner?” Her eyes were wide, and she was stunned. According to her research, Dustin was just a nobody. There was no way he could have a connection to the legendary God of War.

Dustin smiled and replied, “Now that you mention it, it’s been a long time since we last met. You’re doing well for yourself, you rascal. I might have to start borrowing money from you soon!”

“Don’t joke around!” Adam said, looking a bit confused. “I can’t fit someone as great as you in my small place.”

Dustin chuckled, “Since we’re meeting again, let me treat you to a cup of tea.”

“Someone, come and free him!” Adam signaled.

“No need. I’ll handle it myself.” Dustin stretched, and everyone heard the sound of metal clinking. Suddenly, the thick chains wrapped around him shattered into pieces.

Everyone stared in disbelief. Those chains were made of darksteel and were supposed to be unbreakable, and yet he had broken them just by stretching?

It was astonishing.

“Oh, by the way,” Dustin said, turning to Adam, “how do you plan to deal with those two?”

General Jenkins and Jade were in a tense situation.

Adam said casually, “Of course, we’ll follow the procedure. Kidnapping and torture? That’s got to mean at least a few decades in prison, right?”

Jade and Jenkins turned pale at his words. A lifetime felt like just a few decades. Were they really going to die in prison?

“No! You can’t lock us up!” Jade shouted, shaking her head fiercely. “Dustin is the one who is guilty. What right do you have to imprison us?”

Adam smiled slightly. “What right do I have? Well, I have more power than you. Does that satisfy you?”

“You’re abusing your power!” Jade exclaimed defiantly.

“You’re right, I am,” Adam replied bluntly, just as General Jenkins had described him earlier.

“You can try to lock me up! I am a member of the Grant family!” Jade declared, refusing to back down.

“The Grant family?” Adam laughed as he tossed her a phone. “Here’s a chance to call for help. I’m curious to see who would dare come to your rescue!”

Jade was stunned. Deep down, she knew that the Grant family wouldn’t challenge Adam, the God of War, for her sake.

“Why did things turn out this way? Who are you?” She looked at Dustin, her eyes filled with surprise, defiance, hatred, and mostly despair.

Adam shrugged. “Since you’re going to die anyway, I’ll tell you. The young man you just kidnapped is Logan Rhys, the eldest son of the Rhys family and one of my closest friends!”

“Logan Rhys?!” General Jenkins gasped, collapsing to the floor in despair.

Now he understood everything. He finally realized why Bloodbeast had fled and why so many important people had contacted him.

General Murry had sent his army for Adam’s release, but Adam couldn’t shake off his nervousness. He wondered why the general had taken such a step and what it meant for him.
