An Understated Dominance - Chapter 301
Dahlia felt a wave of fear wash over her. If Luis intended to hurt her, she would rather die than face such humiliation.
“How dare you act innocent, you worthless thing! Take off your clothes right now!” Luis yelled angrily.
“No!” Dahlia gritted her teeth, determined not to give in. Ignoring her exhaustion, she staggered toward the door.
“Do you really think you can escape?” Luis sneered as he chased after her.
Just as Dahlia reached the elevator, he lunged at her, pulling her down to the floor and trying to rip her clothes off.
Suddenly, the elevator doors opened with a ding. Both of them looked up, frozen in shock as Dustin stepped out, his face dark with anger.
“What are you two doing?” Dustin growled, sensing that something was very wrong. He had heard Dahlia’s earlier words and had quickly called someone to track her car, only to find this scene.
Luis stood up slowly, adjusting his pants with a smug grin. “Oh, it’s you! Are you here to watch me and my girlfriend have some fun?”
“Your girlfriend?” Dustin frowned, turning to Dahlia. “What’s going on?”
“I-it’s not what you think!” Dahlia shook her head frantically, struggling to find the right words.
“Why are you hiding this from him, Dahlia? Weren’t we drinking together so we could do this? Since he’s caught us, we might as well let him know.” Luis smirked.
“Dahlia Nicholson! Is this what you meant when you said you were meeting a client?” Dustin’s face twisted with rage. He had thought she was in trouble, but now it seemed she was on a date.
“I…” Dahlia felt lost for words. It was true she had lied to him, but it was only…
Dustin was hurt and confused. “So, you’ve been lying to me this whole time?” he sneered at himself.
“N-no. I didn’t mean to,” Dahlia said, her eyes red with tears.
“Then what is it?” Dustin’s face twisted with pain. “You promised to have dinner with me, but you went to a hotel room with someone else. Are you really going to claim you weren’t lying?”
“I’m sorry, Dustin! I didn’t do it on purpose. I never thought things would end up like this.”
“Of course, you didn’t expect me to ruin your fun,” Dustin said bitterly. “You just wanted to keep treating me like a fool. I was foolish to believe you had changed and to give you another chance. It took me too long to see that you’ve been playing with my feelings. What did I ever do to deserve this? Why are you doing this to me? Even after our divorce, you can’t let me go. Is it fun to humiliate me?”
“Please listen, Dustin. I really like you. I never wanted to hurt you. Please believe me!” Dahlia cried.
“You like me?” Dustin pointed at Luis. “What about him? I saw everything just now. Did you think I wouldn’t notice?”
“N-no. That was a misunderstanding,” Dahlia stammered, biting her lip.
“A misunderstanding? Are you saying he was about to hurt you?” Dustin’s expression darkened. “If you say yes, I’ll make sure he pays!”
Dahlia fell silent at that. She wanted to confess everything, but she couldn’t. Luis was not someone to cross, and neither was Dustin. If Dustin tried to confront Luis, things could end badly. The Stonia Langfords were not people they could take on.
