An Understated Dominance - Chapter 318
“You rarely find a good man from Boulderthorn. They’re all bullies.”
“I know, it’s a shame. I wonder if Dustin will make it through this,” some martial artists murmured. They were rooting for him to win. With how arrogant Boulderthorn was, it would be nice if someone could teach them a lesson. But it was going to be tough to beat Tatum with his deadly move, the Blade of Gale.
“You little rascal, I have to admit you’ve got some skill. You’ve forced me to use my blade. Today, dying under my blade will be an honor for you,” Tatum declared, gripping his heavy brass ring saber. He held the massive weapon, which weighed hundreds of pounds, like it was nothing, showcasing his strength.
“Just get on with it and come at me,” Dustin said, wiggling his fingers in a taunting gesture.
“You asked for it!” Tatum’s expression turned serious as he lunged at Dustin, saber in hand. The saber dragged on the ground, creating sparks as he charged.
“The Three Tornadoes!” Tatum shouted as he got closer. He swung the saber wildly, creating a whirlwind of shadows in the air as the weapon aimed for Dustin’s head. The crowd felt the pressure from the attack, making it hard to breathe.
“The Three Tornadoes technique is famous for a reason!”
“Even demons would flee from it! That kid is done for!” the martial artists exclaimed as they watched the terrifying move. But Dustin stood firm, ready to face whatever came next.
Dustin stood still, waiting for Tatum’s saber to come down on him. Just as the blade was about to hit his hand, he reached out and grabbed it.
With a loud explosion, Dustin focused all his energy and shattered the illusion of blades in the air. Tatum’s saber was now firmly caught in Dustin’s grip.
“How is that possible?” Tatum’s eyes widened in fear. He never expected Dustin to catch his saber while attacking with full force. He thought to himself, “Who is this monster?”
“Is that all you’ve got? That’s disappointing,” Dustin said, shaking his head. “Since you have nothing more to show, I’ll end it here.” With that, he kicked Tatum hard in the stomach.
“Ahhh!” Tatum screamed in pain as he was sent flying about 30 feet. When he finally landed on his knees, he started coughing up blood.
The crowd was shocked. They had expected Tatum to take control with his saber, but he had been defeated instead. Everyone was left wondering about Dustin’s true power.
“H-how could you destroy my core?” Tatum asked, his face red with anger and disbelief.
“You were trying to kill me. Why wouldn’t I destroy your core?” Dustin replied calmly. “Tell your mentor not to cause trouble for me, or I’ll take down all of Royal Valor!”
The audience gasped at his bold threat, thinking Dustin was insane for challenging Royal Valor.
“Fine! Just wait and see!” Tatum gritted his teeth and walked away with his men, defeated and humiliated.
“How did that happen?” Abby was shocked as she watched Tatum leave in disgrace. She couldn’t believe her idol had been beaten so easily by someone she had looked down on. She thought, “God, is this a joke?”
