“Natasha, what’s going on? You didn’t bring a random guy here just to make us quiet, did you?” Zoey asked, looking unhappy. She thought a doctor from an ordinary medical center didn’t deserve to sit at their dinner table.

“Stop it! Dustin is great at medicine and martial arts. You’ll see soon,” Natasha said proudly, puffing out her chest with a smile.

“Natasha, I’m sorry, but you’d be better off with me than with this doctor,” Gordon finally chimed in, half-joking. He had once liked Natasha, but she had rejected him. Now that she seemed interested in an average doctor, he thought he might have a shot since he believed he was much better than Dustin. After all, his family was one of the elite in Balerno.

“Right, Natasha, I think Gordon is a good catch. He has stayed single just for you. Why not consider him?” Zoey winked at Natasha, trying to play matchmaker.

“Gordon? No way, he’s not my type,” Natasha replied quickly.

“Come on, Natasha, that’s a bit harsh. Gordon graduated from a top university and runs a billion-dollar company. Isn’t he a better choice than a doctor?” Zoey argued.

“Gordon’s life isn’t my concern. My boyfriend is Dustin. Please stop joking about this,” Natasha said, her frown showing she was not happy. “And if we’re talking about the best choice, Dustin is perfect for me. No number of Gordons can compare to Dustin Rhys.”

After that, Gordon stayed silent but shot a nasty look at Dustin.

Once they sat down, they began chatting and eating, but they ignored Dustin because of his low social status. Still, he didn’t mind and enjoyed his food and drinks as if he wasn’t part of the group.

In the middle of their conversations, the door to the private lounge swung open. A middle-aged man with a beer belly walked in, flanked by two bodyguards. Adriana, who had been quiet, suddenly looked alarmed when she saw the intruders.

“Ms. Lovett, why didn’t you answer our calls? Do you think we can’t find you if you hide in a small town?” the man said with a threatening smile.

“My contract with the company is canceled! Stop bothering me!” Adriana warned him.

The man laughed dismissively. “Hah! Is that for you to decide? What…”

“Do you really think you can just leave us?” the man said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “Our boss put in a lot of time and money to make you famous. Now that you’re successful, you want to go off on your own? It feels like you’re taking advantage of us.”

“I’ve already paid back everything I earned over the years! What else do you want from me?” Adriana’s expression changed, her confidence wavering.

“That small amount of money doesn’t mean anything!” he scoffed. “Our boss sees you as a valuable product. As long as you stay with the agency, you’ll keep making money for us. You know that, right?” He laughed, enjoying the moment.

“I will not go with you! Just give up!” Adriana declared, trying to sound strong. But the man only smirked and replied, “That’s not up to you. Guys, take her!”
