“Guys! Grab her!” The man barked his orders, and the two bodyguards moved in, ready to act.

“Wait!” Zeke suddenly stood up and shouted, “Adriana is my classmate. I don’t care who you are, you need to leave right now, or I’ll make you regret it!”

“Exactly! How dare you take her in front of us!” Gordon slammed his hand on the table, making a strong statement. Adriana was a rising star, known as the queen of entertainment, and she was as beautiful as Natasha. The guys were determined to help her.

“Sir, this is none of your business. Stay out of it,” the middle-aged man warned coldly.

“Hmph! We think it is our business! Get lost if you don’t want trouble!” Zeke shouted back.

“Throw these fools out!” the middle-aged man yelled, and the bodyguards sprang into action. Zeke and Gordon stepped up, each taking on one bodyguard. Zeke fought like a street tough, smashing a beer bottle over the bodyguard’s head. Gordon, on the other hand, showcased his martial arts skills, moving with grace and power. Together, they quickly took down the two bodyguards.

“Who are you? Why are you interfering?” The middle-aged man glared at them with anger.

“I’m Zeke Perry, from the Perry family!” Zeke declared proudly.

“And I’m Gordon Flynn. If you have a problem, face us instead of picking on a woman. That’s just cowardly,” Gordon added. The two friends felt proud of their bravery, especially in front of the ladies.

“Alright! I won’t forget your faces! Just you wait!” The middle-aged man shot them a threatening look before storming off.

“Hmph! Run any slower, and I’ll break your leg!” Zeke shouted, waving his beer bottle in the air.

“Clowns! How dare they make a scene in front of us!” Gordon said, sounding annoyed.

Zoey’s eyes lit up with admiration. “I never knew you guys were so good at fighting! It was amazing to see!”

“That was nothing!” Zeke replied with a grin. “Back in the day, Gordon and I took down ten guys at a bar!”

Zoey smiled at him. “Really? That’s incredible!”

“Zeke, Gordon, thank you so much for helping me,” Adriana said, her voice filled with gratitude. She had left Stonia and come to tiny Balerno to escape some trouble, but they had found her anyway. She shivered at the thought of what might happen if they caught her.

“Adriana, we’re schoolmates. Just relax when you’re with us,” Zeke said, thumping his chest confidently. “If you ever get into trouble, come to us, and we’ll handle it!”

Natasha, curious, asked, “Adriana, who did you get into trouble with that made you run all the way to Balerno from Stonia?”

“I got into trouble with the boss of the entertainment agency,” Adriana replied with a sigh. “When I was younger, I dreamed of being a star and signed a contract without thinking it through. Since then, I’ve been like their money tree, working all year without any days off. I didn’t mind working hard at first, but once I gained some fame, they started making me go to dinners and parties to entertain government officials and business people.”

She continued, “At first, they just wanted me to drink at the parties. Then they wanted me to sleep with some of the men. I refused, and they tried everything to change my mind—offering me money, even threatening me. I couldn’t take it anymore and paid a huge fee to get out of the contract, but they still won’t let me go!” She felt tears welling up in her eyes.

At this point, the public only saw the glamorous life of a star. They didn’t know about the struggles she faced in her career. Being the queen of entertainment was just a title, and the industry was much more complicated than most people realized.
