Adriana felt grateful for the protection of her seniors. Without them, she believed she would have fallen into despair.

“How could they force you into such awful deals? That’s outrageous!” Zeke exclaimed, angry after hearing her story.

“Exactly! They’re just an entertainment agency. How can they treat you this way? Do they think they’re above the law?” Gordon shouted, his frustration clear. He promised Adriana, “Don’t worry. We’ll handle this. No matter who your boss is, we won’t let him get away with it!”

“Yeah! We will definitely stand up for you!” the others agreed, looking ready to fight.

“Thank you,” Adriana said, tears of gratitude rolling down her cheeks.

“By the way, Adriana, what’s your boss’s name?” Natasha asked suddenly.

“I only know his last name is Langford. I don’t know anything else,” Adriana replied.

“Langford?” The friends exchanged worried looks, realizing the implications. “Is he from the Langford family of Glenstead?”

The aristocrats of Stonia were much more powerful than those from Balerno. The elite families in the royal city had deep-rooted histories. Natasha and her friends knew they could be in serious trouble if Adriana’s boss was indeed from the Langford family.

“Adriana, what’s the name of your agency?” Natasha asked carefully.

“It’s called Langford Productions,” Adriana answered.

Everyone turned pale at the mention of the agency. Langford Productions was part of Langford Inc.! It made sense that the men from the agency would come all the way to Balerno for Adriana—the Langford family was behind it all.

“What’s wrong?” Adriana noticed something was off. She had no idea who was truly in charge of Langford Productions.

Adriana felt uneasy, aware of how powerful the agency was.

“Adriana, you might be in trouble. The boss of Langford Productions isn’t just any millionaire,” Natasha said, her face serious.

Only Zoey seemed calm. “Natasha, stop worrying her. We’re not scared of some random entertainment boss when we have Zeke and Gordon on our side!”

Zeke and Gordon exchanged worried glances; they knew the Langford family was not to be messed with.

“Friends, why don’t we move on to the next place for fun since dinner is over?” Zeke suggested, hoping to avoid any confrontation with the Langfords.

“Good idea!” Gordon agreed. “It’s pretty dull here. Let’s go to the bar!”

Everyone nodded, and they began to gather their things. Just then, they heard a loud noise at the door. The middle-aged men who had left earlier rushed back in, this time with backup.

“Leave? Where do you think you’re going?” one of them shouted.

“How dare you defy our boss? None of you are leaving!” another added.

“Surround them!” a bodyguard shouted as they moved in on Natasha and her friends. The group felt a chill of fear seeing the angry expressions on the bodyguards’ faces.

“Sir, I’m Zeke Perry. Please let us go and call off your men,” Zeke said, trying to stay calm. He handed the man a check. “Here’s a little something. Think of it as compensation.”

“Call them off? No way, you jerk!” the middle-aged man shouted, his anger boiling over as he slapped Zeke across the face.
