An Understated Dominance - Chapter 327
“Don’t worry. I started this. I’ll make sure you both don’t get dragged into it. But if you’re scared, you can leave now. I didn’t see anything,” Dustin said, sounding relaxed.
His words made them feel angry, and their faces turned red, especially with the three women watching them. It was embarrassing to be looked down on by an ordinary doctor.
“You’re dead meat, punk! All of you are dead meat!” shouted the middle-aged man as he got up from the floor, looking messy.
“Say that again? Who’s dead meat?” Dustin challenged him and slapped him again.
“You—” The man began to respond, but before he could finish, Dustin slapped him hard enough that he fell silent and fainted from the blows.
Zoey and the others watched in shock. They couldn’t believe Dustin was so ruthless, attacking someone from the Langford family without hesitation. He must really not care about his life!
“Pathetic,” Dustin said, brushing off his hands, still feeling unsatisfied.
“Dustin! Do you realize what you’ve just done? Even the Gods can’t save you now that you’ve offended the Langford family,” Gordon warned him, though he seemed to enjoy watching Dustin’s trouble. He was surprised by Dustin’s fighting skills but knew this would only lead to his downfall.
“Keep your opinions to yourself. Just because you’re scared of the Langfords doesn’t mean I am,” Dustin shrugged.
“Ha! You really don’t know how dangerous they can be!” Zeke shook his head, looking at Dustin like he was foolish.
The Langford family was the most powerful and wealthy family in Stonia. No one dared to confront them directly except for a few elite families known as the Tremendous Three. Given Dustin’s background as just a regular doctor, he should have thought twice before attacking a servant of the Langford family.
“Enough. We shouldn’t stay here any longer. Let’s go,” Zoey said, her eyes revealing her nervousness. After what happened, she realized just how scary the Langfords could be.
Dustin suddenly spoke up, “Ms. Harmon, you should go first. I have a few things to finish up.” He figured that since he’d already made an enemy of the Langfords, he might as well deal with the situation head-on.
“What are you going to do?” Natasha asked, looking at him in confusion.
“Nothing much, just wrapping up some unfinished business,” Dustin replied with a smile.
“Hey! Are you crazy? Their men will be here soon! You’ll be in big trouble,” Zoey warned, frowning.
“I know what I’m doing,” Dustin said calmly.
“Be careful,” Natasha said, giving him a long look before pulling Adriana out the door. She knew her presence might only make things worse for him.
“Forget it. Do what you want,” Zoey said, shaking her head as she left.
“Hmph! You should know better. You’ll soon see how powerful the Langfords are,” someone called out.
“Since you won’t listen to us, there’s no point in stopping you from getting into trouble,” Zeke and Gordon added as they followed the others out.
Once they left the restaurant, everyone let out a sigh of relief.
“Guys, what should we do now?” Zoey asked, standing near the entrance with uncertainty. “Adriana is marked by the Langfords. If we don’t come up with a plan, this won’t end well.”
“You’re right! Adriana isn’t strong enough to fight them off,” Zeke said, looking worried.
“They’re not completely unreasonable. Maybe we could talk it out. I happen to know Luis Langford. If I can convince him, we might be able to sort this out,” Natasha suggested.
“Langford,” Gordon said.
“Wait, you know Mr. Langford? Why didn’t you mention that before? I was just about to freak out!” Zeke exclaimed, clearly surprised.
“I met him at a party in Stonia last time I was there,” Gordon replied with a smile.
“That’s incredible! I can’t believe you know someone so important!” Zeke said, still in awe.
