“Both of you should leave first. Let me handle this, Dustin,” Maximus said confidently. After the battle at Mount Halgue, he had become much stronger.

“Leave?” Luis scoffed. “Where do you think you can hide? Even if you survive today, you will never escape our anger!”

Dustin was about to leave when he heard Luis’s words and stopped. He turned back and asked coldly, “Are you threatening me?”

“What if I am?” Luis replied with a sinister laugh, unfazed by Dustin’s challenge.

“I don’t know how you met this friend of yours, but if you think he can take me on alone, you’re very naive,” Luis taunted.

“Do you really think you’re that powerful?” Dustin asked.

“Against you? Absolutely!” Luis grinned. “Not just you, but Dahlia and everyone around her will feel our revenge! I’m going to make your lives miserable!”

Dahlia felt uneasy hearing Luis’s words. She realized she couldn’t escape the danger she had brought upon her family. Choosing to elope with Dustin meant putting everyone she loved at risk, and that burden weighed heavily on her.

“Are you scared now?” Luis asked, pleased by Dustin’s silence. “Rhys! If you don’t want to die like a coward, get down on your knees! And send your woman to my bed personally. Maybe then I’ll let you live!”

Just as he finished speaking, Dustin slapped him hard across the face, leaving a bright red handprint.

“Huh?” Luis gasped, holding his sore cheek in shock. Everyone around them watched in disbelief.

Everyone watched in shock. Dustin seemed to have truly lost his mind by hitting Luis in public.

“Do you dare hit me?” Luis’s face darkened as he regained his composure.

“So what if I did? That slap was for your shameless bragging!” Dustin shouted, raising his hand again to deliver another hard slap to Luis’s face.

“That was for your arrogance!”

“Slap!”

“That was for threatening Dahlia!”

“Slap!”

“That was for being unrepentant!”

Dustin continued to slap Luis, each loud crack echoing as it landed on his face. Luis’s face quickly became bloody and swollen, and he even lost a few teeth during the beating.

“Everyone connected to you will pay too!” the members of the Langford family shouted in unison, their anger boiling over.

“Dahlia, take Maximus and leave this place now. I’ll deal with the rest,” Dustin said, turning to look at her.

“What are you going to do?” Dahlia asked, her brow furrowed with worry. She felt a wave of regret wash over her as she realized the seriousness of the situation. Dustin wasn’t just pulling her away from Luis; he was facing danger head-on!

“Don’t worry. I’ll be fine,” he replied with a reassuring smile. “Maximus, take her somewhere safe.”

“Okay!” Maximus nodded. “Dahlia, follow me. Dustin knows what he’s doing. He’ll be alright.”
