An Understated Dominance - Chapter 346
“We beg for your forgiveness, Ms. Nicholson!”
The Langfords all knelt on the floor, and their action shocked Dahlia, Dakota, and even Florence, who had been complaining just moments before.
They had expected the Langfords to come for revenge, but they never imagined they would suddenly act so humbly.
“Ms. Nicholson, I’m sorry. I thought too highly of myself. Please forgive me!” Luis pleaded.
When Dahlia didn’t respond, Luis started slapping his face, even though his cheeks were already red and swollen. He felt pain but didn’t stop.
Earlier that day, at the banquet, Luis had learned Dustin’s true identity and was terrified. He thought he was finished. Ethan had even threatened to kick him out of the Langford family.
But surprisingly, Dustin agreed to let Luis go if he asked Dahlia for forgiveness. Luis felt a wave of relief at this and quickly rushed to the Nicholson Villa to apologize. He was willing to swallow his pride to save his life.
“What is going on?” Dahlia asked, raising her eyebrows in confusion. Just a while ago, Luis had acted so powerful, and now he was kneeling before her. She found it hard to understand this sudden change.
“Am I seeing this wrong?” Florence rubbed her eyes, unable to believe that this was the same powerful aristocrat.
Finally, Dakota snapped out of her shock and reached out to help Luis up.
“What are you doing, Mr. Luis? Get up quickly! They don’t deserve to see you kneeling!”
“Get out of my sight!”
Instead of just pushing her away, Luis slapped Dakota hard across the face, making her stumble.
If Dakota hadn’t asked him to marry Dahlia, he wouldn’t have been in this situation with Dustin.
“Mr. Luis, why did you hit me?” Dakota asked, holding her cheek in shock.
“Be quiet, or I’ll tear out your tongue!” Luis shot her a fierce look and then turned back to Dahlia, his tone completely changing.
Dakota took a deep breath and asked, “What’s going on, Mr. Luis? Why don’t you get up first?”
“I-it’s okay. I’ll stay kneeling. It’s better this way,” he said. Then he looked at Dahlia and added, “Ms. Nicholson, I’m really sorry for what I did. Please give me another chance. I promise I won’t bother you again. If you’re still upset, I can cut off my finger to show you how serious I am!”
To everyone’s shock, Luis pulled out a knife and cut off his finger.
“Huh?” Dahlia gasped, not believing he would actually hurt himself.
“If that’s not enough, I’ll cut off another one!”
With sweat on his forehead, Luis gritted his teeth and sliced off another finger.
“Ms. Nicholson, are you still angry? I can keep going if you want.”
“Enough… that’s enough.”
