Chapter 3331
When Tania was preoccupied with the children, she sometimes overlooked her husband. Opportunities for a couple to connect, like the ones now, were rare.
She had felt this and understood it profoundly.
“Alright, it’s winter vacation. I’ll send Sonny back for a two-day visit.”
Serenity, not wanting to upset her mother-in-law, decided to send Sonny back to play for two days before taking him to Annenburg for a week, after which they would return to prepare for the New Year.
“Are you only going to come back for two days? Sonny is going to Jensburg?” Tania inquired with concern. “Jensburg is so cold and often snowy. Can Sonny handle it? He might enjoy visiting for a couple of days, but if he stays there too long, he could catch a cold. The severe cold might be too much for him.”
When temperatures in Wiltspoon dropped below ten degrees, everyone complained about the cold, but this felt quite comfortable compared to the winters in the north.
Serenity replied, “Instead of going to Jensburg, he said he’s going to Annenburg. Titus is already on winter vacation, and the two boys talked on the phone and made plans to spend the break together, so I promised Sonny he could go.”
Tania felt a bit disappointed. She had hoped Sonny would be able to stay at Wildridge Manor for ten and a half days after winter vacation and wouldn’t return to his mother until the New Year.
She hadn’t anticipated that Sonny would go to Annenburg.
Noticing Tania’s disappointed expression, Serenity suggested hesitantly, “Mom, how about you join us in Annenburg? Think of it as a little trip. There are several great attractions there, including some man-made ones.”
Johnson household, and it’s always lively there.”
The food is quite similar to what we have at Wiltspoon.
The Johnsons are also incredibly warm and welcoming. Our families are quite close; in fact, Grandma doesn’t even want to return once she visits them.
Camryn had her eyes treated by Dr. Lilian Carden.
Elisa, Serenity’s cousin, is the fifth young mistress of the Johnsons.
The Yorks and the Johnsons share a close family bond.
When relatives meet, they typically move around before greeting each other with a kiss.
Like the Yorks, the Johnsons’ parents are retired and enjoy spending time together, making it easy for people of their age to gather and chat.
While the personality of the Johnsons’ eldest wife differs from Tania’s, they are both heads of large families, allowing them to converse easily if they wish.
Tania felt touched and remarked, “I have no connection with the Johnsons, so it would be inappropriate for me to visit and disturb them.”
Serenity replied, “Mom, it’s nothing; just think of it as a trip. If Grandma knows, she will probably want to join us. If you feel awkward, just pretend to be concerned about Grandma and look after your mother-in-law.”
Tania smiled and said, “Your grandma takes excellent care of me. Her health is even better than mine. If we go out for outdoor activities, I truly cannot keep up with her.”
Perhaps Grandma May often defies expectations and enjoys running around.
Though Tania also exercises, she does not match her mother-in-law’s active lifestyle. When it comes to outdoor sports, she falls short compared to Grandma May.
“Mom, if you want to go, just come along. The Johnsons have several little ones, and it’s always bustling,” Zachary said. “I’ll give Ben a heads-up. If you’re worried that Dad won’t let you go, I can talk to him.”
Tania responded, “Your father won’t stop me; he’ll just want to go with me. There are several grandchildren at the Johnsons’ house, and it’s always lively there.”
The Johnsons are much livelier than we are, so my mother will eagerly follow and join in for a while.
Seren, time has passed. You and Zachary are occupied with work, so you can return to prioritize your well-being. Your father and I will take good care of Sonny. With the New Year approaching, I imagine you both are quite busy as well.
