Liberty’s laughter rang through the phone.

Duncan felt that her laughter could significantly boost his productivity for the afternoon.

Duncan: “You just got back not long ago. I wish I could be with you around the clock. It feels like ages. One day away from work can feel like three autumns. Just think about how many autumns we’ve spent apart.”

Liberty smiled and replied, “It feels like more than ten or twenty autumns.”

Duncan: “No, I truly miss you; I really do.”

Liberty responded, “I miss you too. Our company typically goes on annual leave around the 25th of the Lunar New Year, and we don’t resume work until the 10th day of the first lunar month, so we get to rest for over ten days.”

“Duncan,” Liberty pleaded, “While I’m away, could you occasionally visit my house and arrange for someone to clean it? When the sun is out, please wash the bedding and dry the quilt so that I can relax when I return for the New Year. I’ll cover the housekeeping costs.”
