Chapter 3355
Duncan said, “Sonny will be on winter vacation next Tuesday. When he’s off, I’ll take him there again. Then, during your annual vacation, we can return to Wiltspoon to celebrate the New Year together.”
“I’m heading over; let’s go check out the house. Since you’re planning to develop in Jensburg in the future, we should buy a house so we won’t have to stay in a hotel when we visit.”
Liberty replied, “Don’t rush into buying a house. Wait until I’m more stable. I can’t afford that much right now.”
However, Duncan preferred not to live in a suite. Sonny was still young, and if Liberty lived in a suite, Sonny would likely run around, causing complaints from the neighbors above and below.
Before her divorce, Liberty often received complaints from the residents downstairs. Each time, Hank would scold her, telling her to keep an eye on Sonny and prevent him from being too noisy.
Children are naturally energetic. Expecting them to remain completely still is unrealistic. Even adults create noise when they go about their activities; for instance, making dumplings, chopping ingredients, or walking in high heels can disturb those living below.
Before considering the purchase of Zachary’s villa, it would be better for Liberty and Sonny to rent a house. Sonny was already in kindergarten, and after school, they would be out and about, returning home for showers and sleep at night, minimizing any disturbances to others.
Duncan was accustomed to living in large villas and insisted that when buying a house, he would choose a villa, not a suite. Unfortunately, Liberty had no funds left for such a purchase.
Her company had just been established, and while she had discussed various business opportunities, she had yet to receive payment for any goods. Additional investments were still needed to ensure its smooth operation.
The company.
She owned shares, so it was inevitable that she would invest some money.
Having just purchased a villa in Wiltspoon, she had no immediate plans to buy another house.
Duncan remarked, “You don’t need to worry about payment; I will handle it. Once we get married, we will be a family, and this house will be our home in Jensburg.”
They were unable to obtain the certificate two years ago, but they expect to receive it this year.
Upon obtaining the certificate, they would officially be husband and wife. When he and Sonny visited, they naturally preferred to stay in their own house rather than a hotel.
A family of three is happy.
Duncan felt immense joy just thinking about it.
Duncan stated, “Since this is our home, you should love it.”
Liberty paused for a moment before responding, “Sonny is going to Annenburg to play with Titus during winter vacation. We can discuss buying a house after the New Year. With only a month left, we need to find suitable options quickly. Sonny is going to Annenburg; I expected he would be eager to visit you during the vacation.”
Duncan smiled and replied, “That kid is just focused on playing; he doesn’t even think about his mother.”
Liberty laughed, “Jensburg is far too cold. If he visits for a couple of days, the snow will be exciting, but after a while, he’ll feel the chill. Staying indoors every day would bore him.”
A three- or four-year-old child cannot be expected to stay cooped up at home every day.
When it’s cold outside, he has no desire to come over to play.
Liberty added, “I don’t want him to visit either. Even if you help me watch him, I still get distracted and can’t focus on my work. I’m quite busy at the end of the year.”
Duncan nodded, “Then I’ll…
“Organize things at the company and head over here. Sonny will go play with his friends. It just so happens that we can exist in a two-person world.”
Liberty’s face was flushed, but Duncan, of course, couldn’t see it.
Liberty said, “Didn’t you mention you would wait for me to return from my annual vacation? There’s no need for you to come over. I’m really busy, and your company has its own demands too. If you come, the most I can offer is dinner, and I’ll end up coming back late at night.”
Not long after the company was founded, the powerful Farrell Group began monitoring her closely, creating constant pressure.
Duncan replied, “I don’t need your company. I can assist with your company’s affairs. While you are out negotiating business, I can help manage the company. I have also invested in it; it is one of my ventures as well.”
Liberty smiled and said, “Alright, you can come over if you want, but you must promise me that you will continue your rehabilitation even after you arrive.”
