Duncan said, “Of course, I wish I could return to normal now so we can get the marriage certificate and hold the wedding.”
They planned to obtain the marriage certificate first and agreed not to hold the wedding too soon, waiting until he could walk like a regular person.
Duncan added, “See you this weekend, then.”
Liberty replied, “Okay, see you this weekend.”
Duncan reluctantly said, “You go to work first; I’ll take care of my tasks as well. I won’t take up too much of your time, but you must prioritize your health. Good health is the most important thing. You can’t earn enough money, and a company’s stability can’t be achieved overnight. It requires time and effort.”
He worried that Liberty might become too anxious and wear herself out.
Liberty nodded. “I know; I will take care of myself, and you should too. That’s all for now; we can chat again in the evening when we have some free time.”
After ending the call, Duncan hesitated to hang up his phone. He looked at it and smiled, envisioning the future where he and Liberty would soon be husband and wife.
They should consider buying a bigger house in Jensburg for a comfortable life together.
When Liberty took over the Farrell family, even if Duncan had to move into the Farrell family mansion, he would still spend a few quiet days in the small home he had purchased.
Suddenly, a question crossed Duncan’s mind.
If Liberty truly became the next head of the Farrell family, she would be in search of a son-in-law.

“Duncan, what’s so funny?” Desmond’s voice echoed.
Duncan looked up to see his eldest brother and smiled. “Brother, when did you arrive?”
Desmond replied, “I just returned from dropping off a guest at the airport. I passed by your company and decided to stop in for a visit.”
Duncan asked, “Was it an important guest?”
The fact that Desmond personally took someone to the airport suggested that this guest was indeed significant.
Desmond Lewis, the eldest son of the Lewis family, had taken charge of the family business and was the head of the household.
“Um.” Desmond settled into Duncan’s desk chair. He bore some resemblance to Duncan but was ten years older, in his forties. He was well-groomed and appeared younger than Duncan, exuding a gentle elegance.

Dressed in a suit and tie, Desmond looked every bit the CEO, while Duncan did not.
Despite having a son in his early twenties, Desmond still attracted many admirers. He remained calm and often strolled by the river without getting his shoes wet. His wife came from a wealthy background and was also well-maintained. They had a son and a daughter, both of whom were exceptional, allowing Desmond to worry little about them. His small family was happy and harmonious.
