Chapter 3361
“I’m sorry. I saw a crowd in front of the hotel, and I got nervous for a moment, so I accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake,” the driver explained.
After parking her car, the driver stepped out and repeatedly apologized.
She was a young girl who appeared quite anxious.
Her gaze scanned the crowd until it landed on Liberty, who was being helped up. With concern in her voice, she asked, “Are you okay? I’m really sorry. I just got my driver’s license two weeks ago, and this is my first time driving out. I still get so nervous when there are a lot of people around.”
The driver of the first car had already driven into the underground parking lot and was out of sight.
Liberty noticed the girl’s youth and anxiety. It was understandable to feel nervous driving right after getting her license. Since she was unharmed, Liberty replied, “I’m fine, but you need to be more careful. It’s best to practice driving in less crowded areas. Be sure not to confuse the brake with the accelerator like you did earlier; it’s easy to hit someone.”
Fortunately, she and her group had managed to dodge the car in time. Had it hit someone at that speed, the outcome could have been catastrophic.
“I know. I’m really sorry about what just happened. Thankfully, you’re all okay,” the girl continued to apologize.
The security guards also reprimanded her and arranged for someone to assist her in parking the car.
As the young girl entered the hotel, she walked past Liberty, offering her apologies once more.
The first car, which had accelerated and nearly struck Liberty, parked temporarily in an empty spot in the underground garage. The driver was on the phone and lowered her voice, saying, “Young master, you didn’t succeed. She managed to get away.”
The voice on the other end responded, “If you don’t succeed, just withdraw. If you—”
“Just say what I taught you if you’re stopped.”
Two young girls had been specially assigned to drive Liberty. They had just received their driver’s licenses, so it’s understandable that they might feel anxious in crowded situations and accidentally press the brake instead of the accelerator.
Liberty was constantly accompanied by several bodyguards, and her vehicle was typically protected by two bodyguard cars at the front and back, making it difficult to cause an accident on the road. This increased security was primarily due to a previous incident where Liberty was involved in a car accident after the Farrell family hosted a banquet for her. Following that event, Liberty’s bodyguards became particularly vigilant.

While on the road, it was challenging for other vehicles to approach the car Liberty was in.
The girl reported, “I’m currently in the hotel’s underground parking lot, and she’s been stopped.”
The person on the other end replied, “That’s fine. For now, she won’t raise any suspicions. Just let her handle it calmly. If you can leave right away, do so. If not, it’s alright. They won’t be able to gather any evidence. At most, they might accuse you.”
The girl responded, “Understood, young master.”
After ending the call, she restarted the car, maneuvered out of the parking space, and headed toward the exit.
However, she was halted at the exit.
She had been allowed to drive into the underground parking lot earlier, but the security captain promptly reviewed the surveillance footage at the entrance and noted the license plate number, which led him to stop her car.
Nevertheless, the security captain could only request assistance from the equally young staff members.
The female driver should apologize to Liberty and reprimand her.
Liberty did not argue with the two young female drivers. After she got into the car, she turned to Jim, who was sitting in the passenger seat, and asked, “Jim, what do you think?”
Jim replied, “I don’t believe it’s an accident.”
Liberty nodded in agreement. “If only one car had suddenly accelerated and hit us, it might be considered an accident. However, if two cars follow in succession, it’s clearly intentional.”
“It’s the statements from the two young female drivers that have prevented us from identifying any inconsistencies. They claimed to be friends and mentioned that they had recently obtained their driver’s licenses. Their families had bought them a new car, and they were out for a drive.”
“One of them said she gets nervous when she sees a crowd and accidentally presses the brake instead of the accelerator. Are both of them like that? Or did the car behind her see her friend suddenly speed up and then accelerate as well? But she just said she mistakenly pressed the brake instead of the accelerator. The consistency in their statements raises suspicion.”
