However, the York family held a different perspective.
Grandma stated that if all the brothers are capable, the eldest will take charge. If the eldest is not suitable, the most capable brother will be chosen to lead. It does not have to be the eldest son or grandson; the key factor is ability.
If a daughter is willing and able to take over, she certainly can. However, if she is unwilling, she will not be compelled to do so.
Considering their elders’ preference for sons, Tatum speculated that even if he were to have a niece or daughter in the future, the family elders would hesitate to allow her to take charge. They recognized that being the head of the family is exhausting and would be reluctant to put their cherished child through such strain.
After Elora had finished her meal, she set down her bowl and chopsticks and wiped her mouth with a napkin.
She stated calmly, “If they truly lack the ability to manage the family business, the company will remain under our management, but the majority of the shares will be allocated to my two younger brothers, leaving us sisters with only a small portion. We don’t work for nothing, but we cannot fully inherit the family business. The shares will ultimately be passed down to future generations through my younger brothers.”
Most of the shares in the Ormond family company were still held by her elders.
Elora and Tinsley owned only a minor stake, with Elora holding slightly more than Tinsley.
“I’m not concerned about that. I already have experience and resources. I plan to invest in my own company. When my younger brother is ready to take over, I will leave the Ormond family and still be able to establish my reputation in the business world.”

To avoid competing with her younger brother in business, Elora established her investment company outside of Annenburg, Province X, opting for larger cities instead. Currently, her personal net worth is considerable, and she is recognized as a wealthy woman.
However, if she wished to manage the Ormond family affairs, it wouldn’t be impossible. Her younger brother is only a few years old and won’t be able to take over for over a decade, if at all.
If Elora chooses not to hand over control, her younger brother would have no means to challenge her decision.

Elora smiled and replied, “I admire you as well. Few individuals have risen to the level of a successful boss and then willingly stepped down to work as my chef in pursuit of personal growth.”

After achieving fame and realizing the goal of becoming a leader, many individuals have joined the Ormond family as private chefs over the years. Among them, the youngest, most capable, and purest was Tatum.
