Chapter 3488
A car pulled up to the entrance of Spring Blossoms. Camryn, who was busy trimming a large tray of potted flowers, glanced up at the vehicle. It appeared to belong to Carrie. After regaining her sight, Carrie returned and drove off in her car, and Camryn recalled the license plate number. Carrie’s vehicle was a BMW 7 Series, a gift for her 18th birthday.
Camryn remembered how Carrie, after receiving the car keys, proudly flaunted them in front of her, taunting that Camryn would never own a car or be able to drive because she was blind. Carrie’s raucous laughter from that moment still resonated in Camryn’s mind.
At that time, Camryn had her own car and even several luxury vehicles, yet she was unable to drive—a harsh reality. She had contemplated taking the driver’s license test but couldn’t find the time. She was occupied with official duties and preparing for her wedding to Callum. After the New Year, she intended to revisit her high school studies, re-enroll in September to repeat her senior year, and then take the college entrance exam.
She was still young, and it wasn’t too late to learn again. Ten years ago, while in high school, her life changed dramatically when she was suddenly attacked and lost her sight. Her mother wished she were dead, while her stepfather and uncle offered superficial concern that lacked genuine care.
Her mother prohibited her from attending school, let alone enrolling in a special program for further education. Consequently, her education halted at high school, and she did not graduate. After regaining her sight, she was able to manage the company herself but discovered that many contracts were in English, a language she struggled to understand.

She had to ask Dalton to translate the contracts for her to understand them, which hit Camryn hard.
The old doctor examined Camryn’s eyes and informed her that once she completed her current course of treatment, she would no longer need medication. However, she must still protect her eyes and avoid overexerting them.
Her eyes would take about six months to fully recover.
She intended to repeat her senior year in September and take the college entrance examination the following June.
Regardless, she wouldn’t be having a baby in the next few years, so her priority should be to enhance her academic qualifications.
Callum had a high level of education and could speak several languages. He was quite accomplished.
She didn’t want to hold him back and needed to work hard to bridge the gap in their academic qualifications.
She wanted to avoid others claiming she was unworthy of Callum.
Carrie emerged from the car wearing sunglasses and sporting long, wavy hair. As she stepped out, she purposefully switched into high heels.
She clutched her designer bag, which she had purchased during her time as the second lady of the Newman family.
Now, others perceived her as someone who couldn’t afford luxury items.
As Camryn watched Carrie approach, she couldn’t shake the feeling that this person didn’t resemble Carrie at all. Her posture was different; Carrie used to exude arrogance and looked down on others.
Carrie had a habit of tilting her chin high while walking, as if her eyes were perched on top of her head.
“Miss Newman, oh, you’re now the second young lady of the York family, yet you still prune the branches yourself. Yes, you’re accustomed to it. Even if you fly to the branches, you can’t adapt to the life of a phoenix. This is what’s called flying to the branches without becoming a phoenix,” she remarked.
Carrie
Camryn walked in front of Carrie and said sarcastically. Camryn stood tall, glared at Carrie for a moment, and coldly asked, “What are you doing here?” “I don’t have any money to spend. Please give me some. My car is low on gas. If you don’t help me out, I won’t be able to refuel. The living expenses Trenton provides me each month are insufficient.”
