Chapter 3536
“Mom bit you again. This time, she didn’t bite your little bottom; she bit your little face instead.”
Lilian was left speechless.
In her mother-in-law’s eyes, Lilian might as well have been born in the Year of the Dog. Her mother-in-law had a penchant for biting people, especially small children, due to their smooth and tender skin. She had an undeniable urge to bite them, and when she lost control, she acted on it.
Lilian followed her mother-in-law into the house.
“Mom, when will my master and the others arrive?” Lilian asked.
Lilian let out a sigh of relief upon seeing her son stop crying. She had feared that he would continue to cry until the master entered the house.
the fourth Mrs. Johnson advised her daughter-in-law, Lilian.
“If you can’t resist, at least don’t bite too hard. The child is small, and his skin is delicate. A gentle bite will leave a mark for a while. Remember, this is your son. Don’t you feel any pity for him? You bite him all the time! Are you a dog? Did you eat dog meat while you were pregnant?”
Lilian responded, feeling embarrassed, “He smiled at me. I thought it was adorable and kissed him twice. I couldn’t help but gently bite him again. I promise it wasn’t hard. He’s my son; how could I not love him? I didn’t eat dog meat. I don’t eat dog meat.”
Lilian genuinely did not eat dog meat. She adored keeping cats and dogs as pets; how could she possibly eat them?
At most, she had used them to test poisons. Well, that was when she was a child.
Now, even if she conducted poison tests on them, they wouldn’t die. She had an antidote to neutralize the toxins. She simply wanted to observe which antidote worked the fastest and what symptoms appeared after poisoning.
Fabian smiled at his mother again while nestled in his grandmother’s arms.
The fourth Mrs. Johnson smiled and said, “Our Fabian is just the cutest.”
He looks so adorable when he smiles. Only you, as his mother, could bring yourself to bite him.”
She showered her grandson with kisses, causing him to laugh even more joyfully.
Babies around four to five months old also enjoy engaging with adults. When someone speaks to them, they become like chatterboxes, babbling away, completely unaware of the meaning behind their baby talk.
In the evenings, when Tim returned home, he loved to playfully tease his son and converse with him in baby talk. Lilian recorded many videos of their interactions, planning to save them for her son to watch later.
Lilian and Tim documented Fabian’s growth from birth to the present using their mobile phones.
Lilian chuckled as she and her mother-in-law entered the house.
Alannah inquired, “Is that Fabian crying? It sounds like he’s upset.”
The fourth Mrs. Johnson replied, “Perhaps he knows his grandfather is coming and is crying louder to hurry him along for a hug.”
Alannah glanced at Lilian, who had just entered, and smiled, “Didn’t you bite him, Lilian?”
Lilian was taken aback.
Did her in-laws really see her as a wolf dog that specializes in biting children?
Fine, she would refrain from biting him in the future.
Otherwise, her son might not enjoy her hugs anymore.
The fourth Mrs. Johnson regarded her daughter-in-law.
Alannah had guessed correctly, so she advised Lilian, “Lilian, you shouldn’t bite Fabian all the time.”
“Don’t bite others either,” the fourth Mrs. Johnson chimed in. “You seem to have a penchant for biting kids, and the children at home don’t appreciate your hugs anymore.”
As she noticed Avah sitting in the crib…
While playing with toys, she walked over, clapped her hands to get Avah’s attention, and said, “Yan Yan, come here so Fourth Aunt can give you a hug. Our Yan Yan loves being hugged by Fourth Aunt, and Fourth Aunt loves Yan Yan the most.”
“Unlike those four boys, who are so naughty and always crying.”
Avah reached for the toy with one hand and then extended her arms to Lilian for a hug.
Seeing this, Enzo immediately reached out his arms, wanting Lilian to hug him too.
As they grew a bit older, the little brother and sister learned how to compete for affection.
