Serenity added, “He kept giving them gifts, even after Sonny lost interest in playing with the windmills.”

Jane and Lilian both laughed.

Jane remarked, “Mr. Lewis must be a straightforward man. There likely wasn’t much romance when he pursued your sister. If there was any, he probably learned it from his friends.”

“You’re right. He did learn it from his friends.”

“Aunt.”

“Mom, Jane.”

The two little ones ran over.

“Titus, where did you get your windmill?” Jane asked knowingly.

“It’s one of the gifts Sonny gave me. Mom, do you think my windmill is beautiful? It’s fun! It’s windy today, perfect for playing with windmills. It would be even better if we had a kite.”

Titus was thrilled with the gift from Sonny. He eagerly told Jane, “Mom, Sonny gave me lots of toys, food, and beautiful books.”

Jane smiled, touched his head, and asked, “Did you thank Sonny? Did you give him the gifts you prepared for him?”

Titus replied, “I thanked Sonny and gave him everything. He really liked them.”

Sonny chimed in, “Aunt Jane, I really like the gifts Titus gave me.”

The gifts Titus presented were items that his aunt couldn’t purchase; they were handmade by his masters and included small animals that looked incredibly realistic.

Sonny adored them. If Serenity saw them, she would surely say she could make them too.

Serenity used to run an online store part-time, selling the handicrafts she created.

To this day, Zachary and Callum still have the handicrafts Serenity gifted them displayed in their offices. The old lady also keeps hers.

“It’s wonderful that you appreciate each other’s gifts. Now go and play,” Jane said gently.

She allowed the two children to run off.

The little ones went off to play.

Titus said to Sonny, “Come on, Sonny, I’ll take you down the mountain. Everyone is excited to see you today and has been looking forward to playing together.”

The “everyone” he mentioned referred to the children of the workers at the foot of the mountain. They were slightly older than Titus and Sonny, but they had played together a few times before.

Children tend to make friends quickly when they are in company. However, they can also have disagreements just as swiftly, often quarreling within half an hour of starting to play, only to reconcile a few minutes later.

“Let’s go down the mountain and take a look,” suggested Lilian.

Jane asked her, “Aren’t you going to take Fabian for lunch?”

“Serenity just arrived, and it’s been a while since she left. You should head back to the house and rest,” Lilian replied.

Jane kindly reassured Serenity, “Let’s go back to the house. I cleaned your room a while ago, and nothing is missing.”

“My master is here, and the little crying cat is with Grandpa, so there’s nothing I need to do as a mother,” Lilian thought, feeling that it was time for her to take a break.

Serenity added, “I’m not tired, and I’m not too worried about the two little ones running off like this.”

Jane smiled and said, “Alright, let’s go down the mountain. Many flowers are blooming in the flower fields right now, and they are quite beautiful.”

Winter in Annenburg wasn’t particularly cold, much like in Wiltspoon. Now, in January, many flowers were in bloom.

The flower fields at the foot of FC Manor were similar to those at Wildridge Manor, featuring nearly the same types of flowers.

While admiring flowers wasn’t new to Serenity, she was more interested in watching the children play.
