Chapter 3555
After Clarissa ended the call, Kathryn turned to Holden and Marco. “I spoke with Mom. You can go home now,” she said.
Holden and his sons had overheard Kathryn’s conversation with her mother. Feeling uneasy, they suspected that Clarissa wanted Kathryn to be more considerate towards her brothers. However, Kathryn was not inclined to comply.
Marco and the others, who already had little affection for Kathryn, grew increasingly resentful of her. If the Farrell family were not in such a precarious situation, they might have considered getting rid of Kathryn. However, such an action would only benefit Wancheng, and they were not in a position to act. They chose instead to hide behind Clarissa, take advantage of the Farrell Group, and pursue their own selfish agendas.
“Kathryn, it seems you’re doing better now. Since Marco and the others no longer need to care for you, please look after yourself. Your brothers and I will be leaving now. Call us if you need anything. Remember, I’m your father, and they are your brothers. We are family,” Holden said calmly before standing up. He then addressed his three sons, “It’s getting late. Let’s go so we don’t disturb Kathryn’s rest.”
“Marco, since Kathryn has already eaten, please take the lunch box back. It’s taking up space here. Kathryn, we’ll leave the fruit. If you don’t like the bouquet, feel free to throw it away.”
The fruit basket was heavy and cumbersome, so Holden was not concerned about leaving it behind. However, Kathryn refused to eat anything they brought and insisted they take it back.
“Dad, please take the fruit too. I don’t want anything here. Just visit—there’s no need to bring anything,” Kathryn urged.
Sage and Noel then carried the large fruit basket out, leaving

only the bouquet remained behind.
After they had left, Kathryn instructed Pedro to dispose of the bouquet in the trash outside.
Pedro complied and, upon his return, asked Kathryn, “What did Master say on the phone? Is he planning to transfer me?”
“You belong to me, and you will always belong to me. No one has the right or authority to take you away,” Kathryn replied firmly. “My mother wants you to meet her at the Farrell Group. She said she needs to talk to you.”
Pedro paused for a moment. “I doubt Madam Farrell will do anything to me. Although I’m alone with you, I have the backing of the mysterious Farrell family training base, which even Madam Farrell can’t reach. If she tries anything, they will intervene.”
Kathryn cautioned him, “Be careful when you meet her. Who knows what her intentions are? Don’t rely too heavily on that training base. What happened to my aunt’s assistant when she was in trouble? They didn’t intervene. I believe the base only focuses on training and likely has strict rules they can’t break.”
She felt that the assistants trained there were conditioned to be cold and emotionless—loyal and capable but devoid of feelings. Pedro was similar: he was loyal and affectionate towards her, yet indifferent and ruthless towards others. If someone were injured and asked Pedro for help, he wouldn’t act unless she commanded him to do so.
