Chapter 3650
Titus looked to Jane for assistance. Jane replied, “Master, you know that Titus doesn’t come home often, and Sonny is a guest here. Let him enjoy himself for a few days. How about he copies just one page of the medical book each day? Perhaps an hour in the morning and another at noon?” The old doctor nodded in agreement. “That works.”
“Can Sonny join me in copying?” Titus asked. Sonny was taken aback. He didn’t study medicine—why should he copy medical books? The old doctor smiled and said, “I’m not responsible for Sonny, so I can’t make that decision for him. However, since your master isn’t here, I can supervise your studies.”
Sonny breathed a sigh of relief, but Serenity inquired, “Sonny, would you like to copy the books with Titus? It could improve your handwriting, and who knows? You might learn something valuable.” Titus looked at Sonny with hopeful eyes.
Feeling the pressure, Sonny nodded, agreeing to practice calligraphy alongside his friend. Meanwhile, in Annenburg, Province X, snow blanketed everything in white. In the Ormond family yard, two young boys, Alonzo and Angelo, were busy building snowmen.
Alonzo constructed a large snowman and proudly stepped back to admire his creation. He turned to Angelo and asked, “Is that a turtle you’re making?” Angelo, the second youngest, had crafted several snow turtles. “Yep, it’s a turtle,” he confirmed.
“Can you help me build more turtles, maybe a row of them leading up to the house?” Alonzo’s eyes lit up at the suggestion, and the two boys began working together. Just then, the villa gates swung open, and three cars drove in.
The boys paused and stood up straight, watching as the vehicles approached. “It’s sister! She’s back!” Alonzo shouted excitedly. “Yeah, she’s finally here! I can’t wait to eat Brother Tatum’s food!” Angelo added as he dashed towards the cars. Alonzo quickly followed.
“Hey, that’s my sister! Slow down, Angelo.” “She’s my sister too,”
Angelo responded without slowing down. Several families resided in the mansion, and they all shared a close bond. Elora was Alonzo’s older sister, and although he felt a bit intimidated by her, he adored her.
As soon as Elora stepped out of the car, she spotted her two brothers running toward her. Her expression softened, and she called out, “Be careful, don’t run so fast!” “Sister!” “Sister!” they shouted in unison.
Both boys reached her and hugged her legs tightly. Alonzo, the younger brother, looked up and said, “We missed you! Can you pick me up?” Elora smiled and lifted him into her arms. Noticing Angelo waiting for his turn, she set Alonzo down and gave Angelo a warm hug as well.
The brothers were ecstatic. “Sister, where’s Brother Tatum? Didn’t he come back with you? Did he get fired?” Alonzo asked, his worry evident since he hadn’t seen him.
