Chapter 3689
18:50 MO
In Married At First Sight Chapter 3689, Clarissa’s expression shifted dramatically. Lowering her phone, she realized that she was in trouble tonight. She glared at Audrey and the others, questioning how they had set her up. They had not appeared before this evening, and even when they did show up, they only meandered around the yard and argued with her—nothing serious enough to raise suspicion.
It dawned on Clarissa that she had fallen into their trap. Audrey and the others had given her false hope that she could eliminate them, but it was all part of their scheme, and she had walked right into it.
Now that the police were present, there was no escape for her and Mr. Dunn. Her plan to die alongside her enemies had failed, leaving her furious.
Her gaze scanned the crowd until it settled on Liberty.
Clarissa stepped forward, smiled coldly at Liberty, and then unexpectedly lunged, seizing Liberty’s arm to pull her over. Among those present, Liberty seemed the least likely to resist, making her an easy target in Clarissa’s eyes.
However, Lilian, standing beside Liberty, reacted quickly. She grabbed Liberty’s other arm and yanked her back, thwarting Clarissa’s attempt.

Frustrated, Clarissa reached out again and seized another woman from the Farrell family. It didn’t matter to her who it was—she just needed a hostage.
Pulling out a gun she had hidden upstairs, she held the woman by the neck with one hand while pointing the gun at her head with the other.
Her movements were swift and fluid.
Everyone rushed to intervene, but Clarissa shouted, “Step back! If anyone comes closer, I’ll shoot her!”
“Mom!” Kathryn cried out.
Marco and his brothers also shouted in shock, realizing their mother had a gun. They had no idea she—
Clarissa had been carrying the burden alone. Others couldn’t comprehend why she was acting this way or what had driven her to such extremes. Who had spoken to her on the phone just before this incident?
The police had just arrived. Taking a hostage in front of law enforcement seemed like a desperate act—did their mother truly have no will to live?
“So, you did have a hidden gun, and Mr. Dunn had one at home as well,” the lead officer stated gravely.
“Mrs. Farrell, you can’t escape. I urge you to release the hostage, put down the gun, and surrender.”
The police had ample backup.
Yet, Clarissa acted as if she couldn’t hear them. She continued to shout for everyone to step back and demanded answers from Audrey: “Audrey, what did you do?”
“Back off, all of you! If anyone comes near, I’ll kill her!” Clarissa yelled again.
“Ma’am…” the terrified hostage whimpered.
“Shut up!” Clarissa snapped. “Or I’ll kill you right now!”
The police quickly ordered everyone to retreat, fearing that Clarissa might harm the hostage out of desperation.
Except for Audrey and those who understood the true reason behind Clarissa’s extreme actions, everyone else was bewildered. Was she reacting to their accusations regarding her admission to killing the previous family head?
