Chapter 3750
00:21 X Chapter 3750
Fortunately, Trenton was not adversely affected by his parents. Otherwise, it’s hard to say what kind of person he might have become or what his future would have looked like.
Camryn quietly finished her dessert and took a few sips of warm water. She wiped her mouth and hands with a tissue before discarding it.
She sighed and said, “That’s just my mother. I can’t help but think about her. Whenever I see other mothers and daughters together, or hear someone call their mom, I’m reminded of her.”
The pain from her past would require a lifetime to heal.
After another sigh, she added, “Maybe I’m just not close to my family. My biological father left early, my mother is worse than a stepmother, and there’s barely any bond between me and my siblings.”
Callum held her hand.
“Wife, you have me, and my parents treat you like their own daughter. At this point, I think they love you more than they love me.”
Camryn released her sadness and smiled. “Yes, I’ve been fortunate. I have a wonderful husband, wise in-laws, and sisters-in-law who treat me like family.”
This made up for the lack of affection she experienced growing up.
She felt particularly grateful to the old lady. Without her, Callum might never have met or pursued her, leaving her without the happiness she now enjoyed.
If she hadn’t married Callum, Camryn wasn’t sure how much longer she would have lived in darkness. Even though her aunt Evelyn had heard of a miracle doctor, there would have been no way to reach him without Callum’s assistance.
Just then, another customer entered the shop, and the couple shifted away from the heavy topic.
Meanwhile, in Annenburg…
Serenity knew that Zachary…
On that day, she was flying to Annenburg and had informed him that she was at Jane’s parents’ home and had not yet returned to FC Manor. Therefore, she anticipated Zachary’s arrival at FC Manor that evening. However, unexpectedly, Zachary went directly to Jane’s family’s residence after landing. Serenity was unaware of this.
Sonny and Titus were playing in the yard, chasing each other when they noticed several cars parked outside the Murphy house. Sonny recognized one of the York family’s bodyguards in the front seat, as they were always accompanying his uncle, Zachary. Sonny liked these bodyguards because they were always kind to him.
“Uncle is here!” Sonny exclaimed, stopping in his tracks. He ran over to the back seat of the car and stood by the door, eagerly waiting for Zachary to emerge. When the door opened and he saw Zachary’s familiar face, he leaped up in excitement. “Uncle! Uncle! Did you come to pick up me and Auntie?”
As soon as Zachary stepped out of the car, Sonny hugged his leg and climbed into his arms. Zachary had to hold Sonny as he exited the vehicle.
“Sonny, did you miss your uncle?”
Sonny’s enthusiasm brought a smile to Zachary’s face, unable to conceal his joy. It was moments like these that made all his love for Sonny worthwhile.
Sonny nodded eagerly. “I miss you, Uncle. I think about you every day. Are you done with work? Auntie said we were going back to Titus’s house today and that you would come in the evening.”
Titus approached and greeted Zachary politely, saying, “Uncle York.” Zachary smiled and patted his head.
Titus then dashed back to the yard to share the news, saying, “I’ll tell my mom and Aunt Hunt.”
“I’ll tell them too!” Sonny shouted, squirming to get down.
She slipped from Zachary’s arms and dashed into the Murphy family’s yard.
