Chapter 105
**Chapter 105**
As I stepped into the clearing and joined my friends, Gamas and Beta, I suddenly froze. There was Ethan, completely naked, running out of the house with an unconscious person in his arms.
Irene was in his arms.
When he saw us standing outside, he froze and glared at us. I had no idea what was happening, but my wolf didn’t like what he saw. He let out a fierce growl, making it clear he was ready to protect.
“L… I found her,” Ethan said, breathing heavily as he lifted Irene into his arms. “She was drugged and needs medical attention. I think she was beaten a little.”
I looked at my daughter and noticed the bruises on her skin.
I could see tears streaming down her cheeks. Thanks to my keen Lycan hearing, I could tell she still had a heartbeat, which meant she was alive, thank goodness. But I couldn’t help but wonder, how did Ethan get here before the rest of us? Did he already know she was in trouble?
“Was he here? Was he behind this?”
I wouldn’t let him get away. My wolf was furious, growling at him fiercely. I could tell my intense stare left him feeling frozen in place.
“Rogues are coming, Alpha,” Beta Taylor said, his voice urgent.
Sure enough, several rogues burst into the clearing, all looking ready for a fight. They were growling and snapping their teeth. But as soon as they saw me, their confidence faded away. They stopped in their tracks, unsure of what to do next.
No rogue would be foolish enough to confront a Lycan, especially not a Lycan Chairman. Everyone knew who I was. If anyone dared to challenge me, it would cost them their lives in an instant. I took a deep breath.
A loud, fierce growl echoed in their direction, making them shiver with fear. Without trying to fight back, they all turned and ran as fast as they could away from us.
I nodded to my men, signaling them to move forward.
After the others left, most of them spread out to chase the rogues. I stayed behind with Beta Taylor and a few other Gammas, all of us glaring at Ethan. We were waiting for him to explain himself before I lost my temper and did something I would regret.
It was Beta Taylor who spoke up first.
“How did you get here, Ethan?” Taylor asked, narrowing his eyes.
“I was worried when she didn’t answer my calls,” Ethan replied. “I overheard you mention where she was, so I came to find her.”
Ethan explained, “I just got here a few minutes ago. She was being attacked by rogues. They had drugged her with wolfbane.”
“Where are the rogues that attacked her?” Taylor asked.
“Dead,” Ethan replied.
Ethan replied without hesitation, “Well, one of them escaped.”
“You let him escape?” someone asked, surprised.
“I had to get Irene out,” Ethan explained quickly. “I knew more rogues were coming. I was trying to…”
“Get her to safety,” he said.
Taylor stepped back and looked over his shoulder at me. He seemed to be trying to figure out if he was being honest.
I held his gaze for a moment, taking in the sight of my daughter in his arms. After a while, I decided to trust him and moved a little closer.

“Get her out of here,” I said firmly. “Take one of the cars. My gammas will drive you to the pack hospital.”
“Yes, Alpha,” Ethan replied, ready to help.
I rushed toward one of the waiting cars. Suddenly, another scent caught my attention, and my mouth started to water. My wolf instincts kicked in, and I went on high alert. A low growl escaped my throat before I could stop it.
“Is there…?”
“Is anyone else here?” I asked before Ethan could slip into the car.
He stopped in his tracks and muttered a curse under his breath.
“Yes,” he replied. “Judy.”
