**Chapter 0108**
**Judy’s POV**

It was cold! Being dropped into a tub of cold water shocked me awake. My heart raced as I realized my whole body felt numb. I wrapped my arms around myself, trying to find some warmth.

I felt cold water all around me. As I looked around, I was confused about where I was and what had happened. My memories of earlier events were blurry, but I did remember being kidnapped and trapped in a cage with Irene.

Irene? Where was she?

As I looked around the strange bathroom, I noticed I was almost completely naked, wearing only a torn tank top and some shorts.

Suddenly, I felt a warm pair of hands on my back. Then, a wonderful scent filled the air, making me feel both relaxed and curious.

The most amazing scent I had ever experienced filled my nose. I looked up and took a sharp breath when I saw Gavin sitting beside the tub. He was gently rubbing his fingers up my spine, sending warmth through my cold body.

Memories from just a few moments ago started to come back to me, making my face turn red with embarrassment.

I had thrown myself at him!

I lifted my fingers to touch my swollen lips, recalling his gentle kisses and tender words.

Tears filled my eyes as I tried to process what just happened. What on earth was going on? Why did he act that way? And why did I feel so uncomfortably hot, longing for him to touch me?

I could hardly believe it was him I was with.

It could have been anyone, but I just threw myself at him without thinking!

“Hey,” he said softly, running his fingers across my shoulders. “Calm down. It’s okay…”

It felt like he could read my mind, and I was overwhelmed.

I was panicking inside. “How did we get here?” I asked.

“I brought you here,” he replied.

“But I was in a basement with rogues…” I explained. “And Irene…”

“She’s safe at the hospital with Ethan,” someone said.

I remembered Ethan. He was there for me. He walked in and fought off the rogues while I struggled with an unbearable heat. It was the hottest I had ever felt, and I was in pain. Yet, he stood strong and brave, protecting me when I needed him most.

When I saw Irene, it felt like I had vanished. He chose to save her and left me behind to endure the pain.

“He left me,” I whispered, staring at the tub of cold water. “He just walked away.”

“That jerk left me!”

He didn’t answer. Instead, he ran his fingers along my back, cooling it down with the cold water.

“I’m still wearing clothes,” I complained, pulling at my tank top. Even though the water felt cold, I couldn’t help but feel the chill of the fabric against my skin.

**Chapter 0109**

I was starting to feel warm again. By this point, I didn’t think it mattered if Gavin saw me naked. I had already made a complete fool of myself, so what was the difference? I had never been one to shy away from being bold.

I quickly took off the rest of my tank top and set it aside on the edge of the tub. Then, I slid out of my shorts and underwear, placing them next to my top. After all, we were shifters, and being naked wasn’t a big deal for us.

He tossed aside the old clothes and grabbed one of his shirts from his room while I finished my bath.

By the time he came back, I was done. I was already standing up from the tub when he walked in. I almost slipped as I climbed out, but Gavin was there to help me steady myself.

I swallowed hard, trying to clear the lump stuck in my throat. He carefully lifted me out of the tub and set me down on the ground. He didn’t let go until he was sure I could stand without falling. Just his touch sent a wave of warmth through me.

I felt cold and exposed when he let me go to grab a towel. As soon as I wrapped it around my shoulders, I felt a bit better. But I couldn’t help but keep looking at him. He was really good-looking, and I was drawn to him.

The heat was gone, but the desire still lingered. It felt almost painful, like a longing deep within my soul that was begging to be released.
