We’re on the same side here, and I want to keep both of you safe. If you take my advice and let this go, things will calm down. Zhong Zhengtao hesitated. “I’ll just call Mr. Ye and see what he thinks. There’s no way he would let his grandson bully someone!”

“Fine, just don’t cause any trouble for Charlie Wade. Call my dad and hear what he has to say,” Ye Changmin replied, sounding defeated.

Zhong Zhengtao hung up and quickly called Ye Zhongquan, the elder of the Ye family. Ye Zhongquan recognized Zhong Zhengtao’s name since his father was friends with him.

When Zhong Zhengtao called, Ye Zhongquan greeted him warmly, “Little Zhong, what’s on your mind?”

He then explained the situation over the phone. After listening, Ye Zhongquan paused for a moment, then reassured himself. He thought, “Charlie Wade can’t even handle the Su family, so I doubt he’s a threat to the Zhong family.”
