- The Amazing Son-in-Law [The Charismatic Charlie Wade] (Chinese name) Chapter: 6801
the train arrived, half of the fifteen carriages were filled with mechanical equipment for mining, while the other half contained various tools and materials needed to improve the security system.
Charlie Wade had already changed into his work clothes and was hiding behind a stack of cargo. A knight opened one of the carriage doors to check the documents. He reported, “Commander, carriage 08 has all the engineering parts.”
The commander quickly replied, “Don’t worry about the engineering parts. Focus on uninstalling the monitoring equipment first.”
“Yes, sir,” the knight said and then opened the door of the carriage where Charlie was hiding before moving on to the other carriages.
Charlie had initially planned to use his spiritual energy to control the knight and leave him behind while he sneaked into Duke Mining. However, he noticed that a monk was on the platform, and the commander of the Knights was also present. So, he decided to wait and observe for a bit before making his move.
At that moment, Song Qianshi saw that the train had arrived and all the carriages had been checked without any issues. She didn’t want to linger, so she addressed the commander, “Commander Yin, you stay here to supervise everything. I’ll continue working on the roster for the major changes, so I won’t waste time here.”
Commander Yin had been feeling very upset about the blood exchange lately, and he was not pleased with Song Qianshi at all. When he heard she was leaving, he crossed his arms and replied with a dark expression, “Alright, Song Qianshi, I won’t see you off.”
Song Qianshi noticed his frustration but didn’t let it bother her. She chuckled and turned to leave the platform.
After Song Qianshi left, one of the knights stepped forward, looking worried. “Commander… does that guy named Song really want to separate us from our families?” he asked nervously.
Commander Yin’s expression turned icy. He snapped, “Are you tired of living?!”
Before he could say more, a sudden sound sliced through the air. The knight who had asked the question gasped, his mouth opening wide as his tongue shot out.
Commander Yin was shocked to see the tip of the knight’s tongue split open, revealing a glimmering light shining from it!
He quickly realized it was the thin sword from Song Qianshi’s waist. In an instant, the sword shot forward, piercing through the back of the knight’s head and out through his mouth, impaling his tongue entirely.
The knight didn’t even make a sound before he fell lifelessly to the ground. Because they had been standing so close, the tip of the sword had barely missed Commander Yin’s forehead.
As the knight’s body collapsed, the Cavalry Guards around them jumped in alarm. None of them had noticed the sword’s swift approach.
Meanwhile, Song Qianshi stood at the far end of the platform, several hundred meters away. She turned to face them, her arms crossed and a serious look on her face.
Then, she raised her right hand slightly and called out, “Take it!”
The sword was yanked from the fallen knight’s mouth, gleaming in the air as it flew back to her hand in the blink of an eye.
