After the slaps had ended, Lawrence was left in a deep coma. One of the individuals responsible for the slapping approached Charlie with a hint of respect, saying, “Sir, we’ve given him a hundred slaps. What should I do now that this old man is unconscious?”
Charlie waved his hand dismissively and replied, “Just throw him in the bathroom and leave him be.”
“Understood, Sir!” the man shouted, and with his partner’s help, he carried the unconscious Lawrence away to the bathroom.
The self-introductions continued amongst the remaining group.
Most of those present were gang members from New York, many of whom had been arrested for murder or assault. Some were even connected to Dean as his younger brothers.
Once everyone had introduced themselves, Charlie turned his attention to the man who had lost his leg. The boy nervously said, “Go ahead, speak up.”
The man stammered, “I… I’m Mark Bob. I’ve served two years in prison for second-degree murder. I was sentenced to 40 years, with a minimum of 20 years to serve…”
Charlie then looked at Dean and calmly said, “Alright, boss, it’s your turn.”
Dean replied with trepidation, “Sir… you’re the boss here…”
Charlie smiled, “I apologize; I seem to have taken your place by accident.”
Dean quickly responded, “Sir, please don’t say that. In your presence, I can only be your loyal little brother…”
Charlie chuckled softly and instructed, “Okay, go ahead and introduce yourself.”
Dean humbly said, “Boss, my name is Dean. I’m American. I was imprisoned for drug trafficking and murder, serving a life sentence.”
Charlie nodded and announced loudly, “Now that everyone has introduced themselves, I want to establish a few rules for this cell starting today. Listen closely. If anyone breaks my rules, I promise there will be consequences!”
At this, the group perked up, focusing intently on Charlie, fearful of missing any crucial information.
Charlie raised a finger and stated, “First, from now on, no fighting or sexual activities in this cell without my permission. If anyone disobeys, I will break their hands and feet. Understood?”
They all replied in unison, “Understood!”
Charlie raised a second finger and continued, “Secondly, you are strictly forbidden from discussing anything about me outside this cell. If I find out otherwise, I will make your life unbearable. Do you understand?”
The group quickly responded, “We understand!”
Charlie raised a third finger and added, “Third, starting today, everyone must brush their teeth and take a shower every morning and evening. All sheets and bedding must be kept clean, fresh, and odor-free!”
“Furthermore, everyone must take turns mopping the floor and cleaning the toilet once a day!”
“Let me be clear: this is a daily requirement. Each of you will mop the floor once and clean the toilet once!”
“With fifteen of you here, that means there will be fifteen cleaning sessions each day. Excluding meal and relaxation times, the remaining hours will be divided among you. While one person is working, the others will monitor their efforts. If the cleaning is insufficient, everyone will slap the worker twice to encourage them to do better. If I catch any shortcomings, all of you will be forced to strip and sleep in the toilet for the night!”
“Additionally, if I detect any unpleasant odors from a person or their bedding, that individual will spend the next three days in the toilet, except during meal and relaxation times. They will remain in there while others use the facilities, and even when others are having sexual encounters, they must stay inside until they are clean!”
