Seeing Charlie Wade follow him into the elevator, Chen Zhimin grew furious. He tugged at his collar and sternly demanded, “What are you doing following me? Who gave you the right to share an elevator with me? Get out!”

Charlie Wade chuckled and quickly replied, “Mr. Chen, please don’t take offense. I had to ask you to leave one of the two. This is the FBI’s request. They spend all day meddling in other people’s affairs. Think about it. Someone of your stature is one of our hospital’s most esteemed guests. If it weren’t for the FBI’s nagging, I wouldn’t dare offend you. Would I?”

Charlie Wade’s flattery eased some of Chen Zhimin’s anger.

He realized that the doctor in front of him was likely acting under orders. No one else would dare disregard the FBI’s demands, and this doctor’s humble demeanor and kind words helped to dissipate his frustration.
