Although President Pei tried to shift the blame, Jacob was not impressed. He lashed out, “Pei, you don’t need to elaborate. President Pei replied icily, “If that’s how you feel, there’s nothing more I can do. Whether you choose to curse or resent me is your choice. But remember, Jacob, where you are now is a result of your own actions.
