The grandfather responded with a smile, “My eldest grandson is here, so it’s perfectly fine to have a drink. Plus, with Professor Hank present, we really should toast twice.” The grandmother rolled her eyes, “So you’re just looking for an excuse to drink more?”
Charlie Wade chuckled and reassured, “Don’t worry, Grandma. Just let Grandpa enjoy a couple of drinks; it’s all right.”
The grandmother, knowing that her beloved grandson had provided the grandfather with effective treatment and that his health was stable, relaxed her stance. She reminded him, “Thanks to Charlie’s support, you only need to drink two glasses; don’t overdo it.”
The grandfather nodded with a smile, “Two glasses are more than enough!” The eldest uncle, ever thoughtful, quickly filled a glass. The grandfather swiftly raised his glass and announced, “Let’s toast! Here’s to welcoming Professor Hank into our home!”
Everyone raised their glasses in unison.
As dinner commenced and the first glass was downed, Charlie Wade got straight to the point and asked, “Grandpa, Uncle, Second Uncle, how is your investment in Eastcliff progressing?”
The grandfather beamed and said, “We’ve finalized a few significant projects, which will be officially announced soon. Your second uncle will provide the details.”
Homula chimed in, “Remember our decision to invest in a company related to power batteries? Well, during this trip to Eastcliff, we found that Remi Automobile just went public. An internet company made a leap into the automotive industry and managed to sell more than a year’s worth of production capacity in just a month after its listing. It’s truly impressive and gives us a new appreciation for domestic brands. Therefore, we should consider acquiring a new energy vehicle manufacturing company.”
