He’s usually at the foot of the mountain and can help manage your daily needs. If you want to visit the city, Don Albert can take you there directly.”

Lord Wade smiled, “Alright, that sounds convenient! Since the press conference is at Shangri-La tomorrow, I’ll stay there tonight and then move here after the event. The atmosphere here is pleasant and much quieter than Eastcliff. Charlie, just arrange for Don Albert to drive me. You don’t need to worry about my daily needs; I’m in good health and can manage on my own.”

Qishan, curious, asked, “Brother Wade, why didn’t you bring one or two of your children to look after you during your stay in Aurous Hill?”

Lord Wade glanced at Charlie Wade before responding to Qishan, “Don’t hesitate to speak your mind; it might make you chuckle. Except for my daughter, who is permitted by Charlie to look after my meals and daily needs in Eastcliff, no one else can leave Lingshan for three years without Charlie’s permission.”

Qishan’s eyes widened as he glanced at Charlie Wade, who maintained a calm demeanor as if the situation had no bearing on him. He cautiously asked Lord Wade, “Brother Wade, with so many people in Lingshan, the Wade family business must be suffering, right?”

Upon hearing this, Lord Wade chuckled awkwardly, “That’s the unfortunate truth. After those individuals handed over the business, they left it to professional managers as per Charlie’s guidance. There are stringent performance evaluations and reward systems in place for these managers. Consequently, the original business scale and profit margins have improved, even as costs have increased. While the salaries of these managers are quite high, they are still lower than what the Wade family used to pay their own members. Instead, we can give those roles to capable individuals who can drive performance.
