As the battle continued, Albert stood strong against the four major gods attacking him. The five figures moved so quickly that they seemed to blend together, making it hard to tell who was who. It was a breathtaking sight, but also terrifying. Trees fell and houses crumbled wherever they went, leaving destruction in their wake.

Meanwhile, Dustin stood at the entrance of the medical center, shielding himself from stray bursts of energy that flew their way. Thankfully, Albert had the sense to draw the fight away from the center, or it would have been destroyed too.

“Dustin, I can’t believe you have such a powerful elder in your family! Even the four major gods can’t beat him!” Maximus said, watching the fierce battle unfold.

“He’s not an elder,” Dustin replied coldly.

“He isn’t? Then why is he with your father?” Maximus asked, intrigued.

“He’s just a servant for the Rhys family,” Dustin said, sounding indifferent. He didn’t think much of Albert.

“A servant?” Maximus was shocked. “You have such a powerful person as a servant? Are you royalty, Dustin?” he wondered to himself.

Suddenly, Dustin’s expression changed. “We’ve got trouble,” he said, looking sharply down the street. The lights along the road flickered before dimming.

In the darkness, Dustin saw a figure moving closer. Each time the lights flickered back on, the figure would disappear, only to reappear when the lights went out again. Within seconds, the figure got near enough to see clearly. It was an old man with a black beard, dressed in a dark cloak.

A dark mist filled the air, creating a sense of dread.

Suddenly, someone in the crowd shouted, “I know him! He’s Hades, the God of the Underworld from the Hall of Gods!”

Panic erupted immediately.

“Oh my goodness! Hades is here! What is happening today?” The three Williams men were visibly shaken and at a loss for words.

Their shock came from knowing that Hades was a royal god, far more powerful than major gods like Athena and Ares. Hades was in a league of his own in the Hall of Gods.

To put it into perspective, the strongest major gods would be like grandmasters in Dragonmarsh, while a royal god like Hades was equivalent to the highest-ranking ultimate grandmasters. There were only a few ultimate grandmasters in Dragonmarsh, and they were treasured figures. They usually focused on protecting the country or the palace and rarely showed themselves in public.

The same was true for the royal gods of the Hall of Gods. They only came into action when the security of their nation was at stake. Much like nuclear weapons, they were primarily used to intimidate rather than to fight.

Yet today, it was shocking that such an elite figure from Streuqua, a royal god, would appear in Dragonmarsh. Did this mean war was imminent?

“It’s been a long time, Mr. Rhys,” Hades said, removing his cloak and nodding to Rufus as if they were old friends.

“The Hall of Gods has truly gone all out…”

“This time, we have even a royal god on our side! What a disaster it would be if your nation lost you here,” Rufus said, raising an eyebrow and remaining calm.

“Mr. Rhys, if you were in West Lucozia, I wouldn’t act recklessly. But since you’ve decided to leave your safe zone, don’t be surprised that we’re taking action,” Hades replied with a smirk.

“Oh, do you really think you can kill me?” Rufus asked lightly.

“We’ve done our homework. You only have a grandmaster guarding you now. Athena and the others will be busy keeping him occupied. That means I can focus on you, and I’m quite sure I can end your life,” Hades said confidently.

He knew there was a skilled swordsman in the West Lucozian army who could easily defeat him, but luckily, that person wasn’t here today. This was the perfect opportunity for the Hall of Gods to strike.

If Rufus were to die, West Lucozia would be without a leader, making it easy for Streuqua to invade. They couldn’t afford to fail this time.

“Since you’ve got everything planned, go ahead,” Rufus said calmly. “Take one last look at the mortal realm, Mr. Rhys!”
