Uncertain about Liberty’s arrival, Manager Gauthier welcomed her with great care.

“I’m late because something came up,” Kathryn explained in a quiet voice.

She entered the VIP room.

Liberty and her team of bodyguards were seated there, each with a cup of tea in front of them, though none had taken a sip.

Upon seeing Kathryn, Liberty smiled and remarked, “If you’re so busy, you don’t need to come here. We can talk over the phone.”

Kathryn chuckled, “Man proposes; God disposes. On my way out, I ran into my eldest brother who was coming upstairs. He had a document for me to sign and discussed a lot of things with me. He even spoke with my mother on the phone, which made me late and kept you waiting.”

“It’s fine; I didn’t wait long,” Liberty replied, standing up to greet Kathryn as she entered. They both sat down again.

Manager Gauthier poured Kathryn a cup of tea, but she asked him to return to work.

Liberty instructed her bodyguards to leave, stating it wasn’t necessary for them to guard her at that moment.

Shortly, only the two of them remained in the VIP room.

Kathryn suggested, “Shall we move to my office?”

“It’s just as fine here. There aren’t many people on the fifth floor, and my bodyguards are stationed outside, so no one will approach us casually. Besides, we’re not discussing the throne—we just want to know about your eldest brother’s recent situation.”

Their meeting was deliberate; they preferred to keep it private, minimizing the number of people who knew they were meeting again.

Kathryn refrained from suggesting another location.

She shared the evidence Pedro had sent her.

If I could pry him away, I would certainly want to take your Mr. Fraser too. But you can’t take him away—his heart and mind are focused solely on you.”

Liberty’s words carried a double meaning.

Kathryn sensed this and smiled back, saying, “If there’s any advantage to being the head or successor of the Farrell family, it’s this: you gain a very powerful ally. If I were to leave, I’d take Pedro with me to help manage my business. Within ten years, we would certainly make a mark.”

Liberty responded, “Ten years isn’t necessary; three years should suffice to impress people. You haven’t been in business for that long, have you?”

Kathryn picked up her cup of tea, sipping it gracefully before answering, “I’ve been thinking about making money since my school days. Back then, I was essentially starting a business. Now, nearly ten years later, I still don’t count myself among the major players.”

Liberty smiled. “With Mr. Fraser on your side, it’s like giving wings to a tiger.”

After sipping half her cup of tea, she turned her attention to the evidence Kathryn had sent over.

Pedro was quite capable, and the evidence was sufficient for her to confront Marco.

Kathryn asked, “The person who assaulted you was indeed sent by my eldest brother. Liberty, how do you plan to respond? Will it be an eye for an eye?”

Liberty replied, “If he doesn’t possess my agility and manages to dodge in time, I would have to compensate him. Personal grudges aside, if someone is intentionally harmed, not only will they face compensation, but they’ll also be breaking the law.”

“The people around me do not want our future to be jeopardized because of your brother,” she said.

Even if she could hire someone else for the task, Liberty would still be unhappy about it.

Liberty stated, “I will hold onto this evidence for now. When Mrs. Farrell returns, I will bring my concerns to her. It will be her decision on how to handle your eldest brother. However, if she fails to meet my expectations, I will make sure she faces consequences.”

Let Clarissa deal with it herself while Liberty simply applies pressure on him.

This way, she can remain uninvolved.

“When will Mrs. Farrell be back?” Liberty asked Kathryn.
