Serenity had no choice but to put Sonny down.

Sonny said, “Auntie, please answer the phone. It might be my uncle calling.”

Serenity pulled out her cell phone and checked the caller ID. It was Zachary.

Sonny asked, “Auntie, is it my uncle?”

Serenity nodded. “Yes, it’s your uncle.”

Sonny reached out his little hand. “Auntie, please give it to me.”

Serenity smiled and handed the phone to Sonny. He took it and pressed the answer button.

“Uncle!” Sonny exclaimed.

“Sonny, where’s your aunt? It’s late. Have you taken a shower?”

Zachary often asked Serenity to ensure Sonny took a bath because he knew Sonny was having a great time.

The elders in the family all spoiled Sonny.

Only Serenity and Liberty could manage him and prevent him from becoming too spoiled.

Sonny replied, “Not yet. My aunt said she’d take me back for a bath, but I haven’t played enough. I asked her to let me play longer, but she wouldn’t. Uncle, when will you be on holiday? If you play with me, my aunt won’t scold me.”

Zachary responded, “If your aunt doesn’t scold you, she’ll scold me instead. It’s better for her to scold you. If I upset her, she’ll make me sleep in the study. Don’t worry about being in trouble with your aunt.”

Sonny said, “Uncle, you can sleep with me.”

Zachary teased, “But you wet the bed.”

Sonny protested, “I don’t wet the bed. I haven’t done that in a long time.”

However, Sonny remembered that he sometimes did wet the bed if he drank too much water before bed and didn’t go to the bathroom.

He whispered, “I only wet the bed occasionally. Don’t all kids do that? Uncle, can you honestly say you never wet the bed as a child?”

Zachary chuckled, “You know how to argue with your uncle. Your aunt is right next to you. Hand her the phone; I have something to share.”

Sonny responded with an “oh” and passed the phone back to Serenity.

Serenity took the phone and affectionately touched Sonny’s head.

Zachary informed Serenity that he had social events to attend late into the night and would not be able to return home.

In reality, he wanted to postpone his return to spare Serenity from worrying about her sister’s safety in Jensburg.

“Okay, I understand. Just don’t drink too much,” Serenity replied, offering her husband some caring advice.

She added, “I’ll take Sonny back for a bath. He had an active day, running around the villa with his friends and taking on the role of their leader. He even asked when I would take him to FC Manor. I plan to wait until the old doctor and the others return before going; that way, you won’t have to send him off and waste your time.”

Though Serenity had mentioned she would fly there with Sonny by herself, Zachary was still concerned.

No matter where she went, Zachary felt more at ease when he could see her off.

Before marrying Zachary, Serenity had always traveled independently and was quite self-sufficient.

After a moment of thought, Zachary said, “If I’m too busy over the next few days, you can go with Sonny and the old doctor. I’ll feel more comfortable knowing they are with you.”

Ezequiel (Silver Fox) and the others would also accompany the old doctor to FC Manor to visit Fabian.

Fabian was the old doctor’s grandson, as well as their grandson.

With no other options available, all their disciples received the love and care of Titus and Fabian as if they were their grandparents.

Serenity replied, “I’ll organize my work tomorrow. The old doctor will be back in a couple of days.”

Zachary responded, “Alright. Take Sonny for his bath. It’s chilly outside, so be sure to go to bed early and don’t wait for me.”
